Also, question: was it here that people were talking about Gerald Butler's turn as Beowulf? I finally saw the trailer and Butler seems to big to be Beowulf. And I'm disappointed that Grendel is just some excessively hairy dude and not an actual troll.

I saw it at a film festival in September. It wasn't that great. They did period look, modern dialogue. The funny bits were good, the drama and the action, nsm.

Art Crawl!!!

Oh, I agree that Kara must go. I hope next.

The OC - okay, in the Cooper family, Marissa is the one that everyone loves -- heck, she got to stay in OC and not be shipped out to boarding school.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Got it. The hosts file shows nothing but "localhost".

Just got the latest MoveOn.org email. It looks like the Dems are going to fillibuster Alito. If you have a senator that you think will listen, call them at their DC office and register your desire that Alito never come anywhere near the Supreme Court.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

That song is not dorky!

Speaking only for myself, as the person who called shrift a dork, I didn't mean the song was dorky; *Shrift* is a dork for making that reference.

Though I admit it made me laugh, which makes me complicit in her dorkness.

Really? Everything I've seen news-wise has indicated that it'll be smooth sailing.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

heh, Sean, I just got that email too. I'm quite pleased with Kerry. Not that this has a snowball's chance in hell of working, but he's putting his ass on the line for this, and I'm damn glad to see SOMEONE is for the love of Pete.

Gud, Kerry is leading a filibuster charge, but it's unlikely to take root.

That's good, at least.

And I'm going to take my dork ass outside with my iPod for a smoke break, where I will blast punk rock and hope my dorkness keeps the construction boys from trying to hit on me or bum a cigarette.

Huh, between the big earthquake and the palistinian situation, I totally missed that story.
