A year and a half ago, I could have eviscerated him with my thoughts. Now I can barely hurt his feelings. Things used to be so much simpler.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Which is better? The larger good, or the greater good?

Always Anti-fascist!

"greater,", I'd say. Like the alliteration.

hip deep in pie

This morning, I started the grievance process for the job that I was screened out of. It's possible that this is going to get me nothing but ill will.

We had an emergency board meeting last night because a member of our coop that we are in the process of trying to evict had a fire the Monday night.

My stress level is at about 27, on a scale of 1-10. (ETA, it's still probably way less than the woman who has to live below the other woman OTOH.)

Hmm. The "larger good" implies the good is bigger, whereas the "greater good" implies that the good, if not bigger, is more concentrated.

So I suppose what kind of good you want might come down to storage capacity and the ability to use the concentrated version (or the availability of a suitable diluting agent).

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Looks exciting, if not great, and not as...ponderous as his other post-Homicide TV.

That's by the same friend whose Emily's Reasons just got yanked. My fingers are crossed, even though she failed to cast Colin in it.

Sue, you need to make specific relaxation plans for tonight.

I tried to buy the stupid belt at the mall and they didn't have it in a small. Luckily they suddenly have the other belt I bought in a small, so I will be exchanging that. I love metal belts and want to dive into a phase of wearing them to the exclusion of my leather ones. But I only have the one, since I seem to have lost the chainmailish one I've had for years.

I have a friend staying over, and there may have to be wine. Or Scotch.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Sue - calmness for you today.

I am tired for no good reason. I think I could have slept another 3 or 4 hours easily.

The only good thing about today so far is oatmeal. By my estimation, that means the day will get better.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Cripes, Sue. Wine and scotch with a good friend does seem to be in order.

The "greater good" is for society, the "larger good" is the better thing.

My phone has been ringing off the fucking hook this morning. So weird! One person I haven't talked to in months, my grandmother who I've been trying to catch up with for a week, the job thing, AND another friend. I hope I'm done for the day now.

Art Crawl!!!

Tommyrot, you could put casting news in spoilage lite.

Ginger - THAT was the thing about Bats and superpowers that needed to be added!

I was sad to hear about Chris Penn too.

I bet that giving the cats places to climb, space away from their major predators and stuff to look at helps.

They probably stalk all the time -- and the local fauna would do just as well as their regular prey to get that instinct going.

Oh, and had you guys heard about Moscow's colder than normal weather?
