I remember nothing I've read and little of what I'd seen set in LA until I got here. In fact, I've meant to rewatch
Clueless
and
LA Story
and the like. My memory is crap without context. I fell for LA one morning standing in Colin's driveway and listening to dogs and birds. I'd pretty much hated it all the other times I'd been here, but suddenly I knew I not only could live in LA, I pretty much wanted to.
Y Tu Mama
was interesting. Both what I was expecting, and not. The biggest surprise was how tiny Gael and Diego are.
Those and the other Baci are totally adorable, but possibly not as comfy as you would hope for them to be.
Lori is Keen KRAZY, as I'm sure you've noticed. Keens and Crocs. The two shoes she'll wear.
I'm good about not having my cell phone on. But my laptop is a whole 'nother thing.
Gael is hotness. Even if he is wee. Which he is.
Have you reseen Swingers since you've been here?
Those Baci are gorgeous, Plei. Really lovely.
I need a revamp of my shoes. This time to include getting rid of stuff. I'm falling into a shoe rut.
Have you reseen Swingers since you've been here?
NO.
My god, that's up there in the must-see-having-moved, isn't it?
Let me get my ass over to Netflix.
Gael is hotness. Even if he is wee. Which he is.
It's true. Good thing I don't know him in real life.
I'm annoyed by teachers who don't insist that phones be turned off.
I knew I not only could live in LA, I pretty much wanted to.
I'm scared of LA and I've never been there.
I like when phones ring in krav class. No one but doctors seem to answer them, and you can really give a good old glare
and
mean it when you threaten to hurt them for it.
I never take mine out of the car.
I went to netflix, and I had
Clueless
and
Swingers
next to each other (187 and 186) on the queue. Which means I've obviously had this thought before, and my memory is crap even with context. Bumped them up a bit higher.
My god, that's up there in the must-see-having-moved, isn't it?
Der. Of course it is!
You should also watch
What's Cooking
which is filmed in the neighborhood between Polgara's house and the Grove. Sort of.
Also, weirdly, I just found out that one of my yoga instructors "discovered" Norah Jones. She sang some gigs with him in 2000 and then she sang 6 of 14 songs on his album.
Huh.
I don't know why that surprises me.
