I get confused. I remember everything. I remember too much, and... some of it's made up, and... some of it can't be quantified, and... there's secrets.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think I AM lazy and unambitious

Anyone who actually grades papers doesn't get to say that.

Have you tried ice and/or heat on your back? Did you have an inciting incident? Does gentle stretching help? Are you still taking those stretch classes?

Also, chiro. I need to do that, I just remembered.

I have to say, the shopping I did in that burst last week is great. I've been wearing the pieces here and there, and I'm very happy with the style and variety. Problem is, I think I shot my wad. I'll need Kat's help to finish up.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Much cuter than my chiropractor.

So I spent Wednesday through most of yesterday unable to stand up straight. My appointment with him was yesterday morning, and he immediately sent me for an MRI.

I am horribly claustrophobic. You can imagine how well this went.

Got it done, although it required two appointments, two sedatives, three changes of position, and my husband standing right outside of the machine and holding my hand.

Today, my back is better. Still hurts like a sonofabitch, but I can stand up and walk. It's almost like after the freakout of yesterday, it's promising to behave better if I never ever make it have an MRI again.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Speaking of smells (ok, we were speaking of smells, a couple of pages back): [link]

An Australian couple who picked up an odd-looking fatty lump from a quiet beach are in line for a cash windfall.

Leon Wright and his wife took home a 14.75kg lump of ambergris, found in the innards of sperm whales and used in perfumes after it has been vomited up.

Worth up to $20 a gram, Mr Wright's find on a South Australian beach could net his family US$295,000 (£165,300).

Coding and Sleeping

I had no idea there was that kind of money in whale vomit.
