I always thought the name Serenity had a vaguely funereal sound to it.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

But Cass, it's so much a chick thing, and it's painted as the worst thing ever. I'm not saying it's fun, or even something to shrug off, but she kills the guy in the end of the episode, and it feels like that's the only just end to the story. It's somewhat akin to the reformed prostitute who can't put out without heart just one more time to save the man she loves.
And it feels overwrought and false to me then as well, ita. Do I lose my chick license over this?

I've slept with someone I wasn't really into but it wasn't the first time we'd had sex and it really would have been more of a hassle to have called it off by the time I realized I wasn't so into it. I didn't kill him. I did change my sheets but I would have been psychologically fine even if I hadn't.

Why don't guys get those dilemmas? In real life, women can regard sex as business. TV and movies seems to have forgotten that a sympathetic woman can do any dissociation.
Exactly. I mean, does this situation just never happen to men or it is just verbotten to talk about? I think at least some women are just as capable of having sex without love or emotion. Or even really wanting to. Like going to work on a day when you would really rather go see a movie.
What I do want is to deserve a
GA: Sigh... Me too. I just don't think I am emotionally reserved enough to ever deserve a Burke of my very own though. Which is too bad. For me. I don't think Cristina deserves him yet either. But I have hope that she will eventually.
I just had a bottle of fizzy water fizz all over me.
Bother.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I just had a bottle of fizzy water fizz all over me

Quick! Toss some ketchup on your shirt and say you were trying to get rid of a stain.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Hmm. I do have a ketchup packet in my desk, but I was saving it for ita.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

You'd better save it. It's $20 bucks if you don't have it.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Meh. Feeling kinda tense/jittery. I've been feeling like this on and off for a few days, so i think its my new meds. Going to the doctor on Thursday so I'll tell her about that.

Good point, ita.

Apple Care just sent me a satisfaction survey. I was going to be nice and not send in a nasty letter, since in the end I did get a very shiny new computer out of the deal, but now they have made it just too easy.

Way back when, I said the Sleeptracker alarm watch would be cooler with a wireless wrist unit and a base.

Voila! And it comes in a two person edition.

hip deep in pie

There was just the prettiest boy in my yoga class. His mat was right behind mine. However, as we lay there during the opening meditation, I realized that pretty boy has very smelly feet. All during the meditation when the teacher was talking about non-attachment, I'd try to focus on my breathing, but then I would breathe in and think "Smells like FEET!" which started me on an insane giggle loop.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

eclipses are purple and balck - who knew. I think the Turning was made to show fighting. It had an interesting story , but the dialog was wooden. really I could have read it off the page and sounded as convincing. and our american hero - I'm not sure who he even liked.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

On GA, do you all who don't think Christina deserves Burke. Do you think that he is clueless about her fibbing? or sees her as more emotionally involved than you think she really is?
