I like the word 'dongle.' It sounds naughty.

What do you use when they'd be texting? Do you call, or do you e-mail?
It varies. I get "I'm running late" texts, "what are you doing Saturday?" texts, "did you see XYZ?" texts, etc.
I think to me, a text message is most like a voicemail.
I text a lot - my friend who just moved to New York and I text each other with silly details of our lives that are happening RIGHT NOW, e.g. "I'm smoking a hookah!" and stuff like that. It's fun.

Me too. For me they're not so much conversating as informing or requesting information. Which is why I think of emails as more intimate in content--but agree with bon in that there's no such thing as a formal text message--it presupposes more on the relationship.
My cat woke me up at 8:00, meowing at full volume. I knew she wanted to be fed, but it was another eight hours until her feeding time. Now, usually on the weekends, she can convince me to move her feeding time up an hour or so just by being obnoxious, but I refused to move it up eight hours. By noon, however, she was being horrendous--knocking everything off of the coffee table, following at my heels every time I moved, harranging me at every turn to "Feeeeeed meeeeee!!!" So, finally, I gave up and did as my feline mistress commanded. She'll be the one to suffer tomorrow when she goes back on her evening feeding schedule, though.
Would those liquid bandages help your knuckles? Mom uses those when her knuckles and other joints get all torn up when she's doing heavy gardening.
Man, I just wasted most of today.
I'm going to blame my cats for me being in bed until 12:30. I went to bed after the 7 am shot, and they pinned me down, I swear. I woke up only once, at 12:30, to find Devi's head resting on my palm, one paw wrapped around my wrist. Mister Kitty was half on my shoulder, with both front legs across my throat. It's all their fault. There were sleep vibes or something.

My friend and I always say we are powerless to stay awake under the weight of a sleeping cat.
