TONY revamped its website recently. They also have an On Demand channel, did you notice?

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, flaming otters, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I did not. interesante.

Hope the day off gets you over your ick, msbelle.
I'm really not fit for human company right now. Probably shouldn't even be online. Man, I hate the crankies.
At least I'll be able to deal with my hair tomorrow. One less thing for me to hate and get frustrated with.
posole my cranky-one, posole will cure all.
Hiya!
I just had to x-post this from my LJ here since I know most of the other teachers on the board check Natter and might get a laugh out of it.
I have a new chapter title for one of the essays in my book. As you may not know, I have an asshat stupid principal, who is ostensibly an English teacher and teaches one class (badly, I might add--he's the kind of teacher who writes "Profound" at the top of a paper when he doesn't understand it) but never comes to any of our department meetings. Evidently when he found out that our department had decided to drop the "Writing about Literature" junior/senior seminar since we felt it was redundant (we teach writing about literature in ALL of our seminars), he went on a rampage against our department head--who happens to be one of the sweetest people around. Turns out that asshat principal taught that seminar once and likes the textbook and somehow thinks that it is the only "real" junior/senior class. He expressed his pleasure by saying the following to our department head:
"You're WHAT? How do you people make these kinds of irresponsible decisions? I swear, your department is just descending into the Desert of Mediocrity!!!"
Yes, vastly insulting and completely untrue. But coming from such a buffoon? So. Fucking. Funny. And irony...ah the irony...
The Desert of Mediocrity. Really. snort, snarfle, snort
This weekend I'm buying everyone in my department a little camel for their desks.
It's a circuit workout. There are 10 stations and thirty minutes and you cycle through them without pause--situps, rowing machine, free weights, bicycle, weight machines--the room's lights flash every thirty seconds to bump you onto the next one.
It takes me more than thirty seconds to adjust the pedals on the bicycle.
So far, the roads are only wet. So I made it home fine. Snow keeps on changing to sleet and to rain and back again - I wish it would make up its mind.
It takes me more than thirty seconds to adjust the pedals on the bicycle.
It's a world of compromise. I figure for 30 seconds of riding, comfort isn't so important--it's on the weight machine where you really start losing time.
I'd have to make posole. Sigh. But I was thinking of making it this weekend, after shopping.
It takes me more than thirty seconds to adjust the pedals on the bicycle.
On the plus side, you get real good at adjusting bicycle pedals.
