Kate! Best of luck to you, babe!
Spike's Bitches 28: For the Safety of Puppies...and Christmas!
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Other Extracurricular Activites: Chewing/swallowing, maintenance of somatic functions, blinking, bathing, wearing shoes (demonstrated mastery of both laces and Velcro closures).
My hobbies include Random capitalizations and writing meandeering Lists which I don't bother to spellchcek. I am good at brown-nosing, sucking up, and pretending I know what you're talking about even when I don't.
Extracurricular activities: padding resumes. Sorry, I meant expanding, extending, embellishing, prolonging, inflatig, redundifying, shizzolating, and otherwise padding resumes.
Wasn't there something about Stephen Fry guest-starring on House sometime?
I have not seen anything official, SF has said Laurie is trying to get him to guest star either as an extremely nasty doctor, or an extremely nice one.
Other than that, only in my (and, I'm sure other's) wishing and brief musings of fic possibilities, that I know of. I want SF to guest as a man who thinks he's a literary figure--an english manservant--and that House was his "man."
Hi-larity ensues.
I want House to snidely refer to SF as "Jeeves." And Fry to say "Yes, sir?" in that Jeevesian way.
I may have detailed some plot bits for them to do somewhere. hmmm.
Now I REALLY want somebody to write that Buffy/House fic with Dawn at the hospital that somebody (DCJ?) suggested, though.
Actually Andi (Windsparrow) is the one who suggested it. I believe she feels that (a now older and more mature) Dawn would be a good match as an intern or a young doc that wouldn't take crap from House.
I'm watching GG from last night.
For their information, THIS is Martha's Vinyard in winter, not sailboats and green grass, and barely a chill.
Y'all are funny with the resumes. I should take notes.
Good luck with the gall bladder, katefate!
Would it be bad form for me to start knitting while sitting at reception? My gut feeling is that it would.
I agree with Andi. I stand behind Mature!Dawn as a character filled with possibility!
(plus... kinda hot. Or, actually, lotta hot.)
Sometimes I just hate having friends. It's so damn hard. I asked how my friend had handled a situation, in a roundabout way, in front of her (granted, student and underclassman) boss in our mutual class today, because we don't talk enough that I know what's going on with her; and after class she said, "Never do that to me in front of my boss again. He doesn't know what's going on, and it puts me and my job in a bad position."
Which, granted, I could have picked a better time to ask her about it--but I was only asking out of concern, and it wasn't in any way phrased so that it would reference her job, and it's not like I see her more than in class anyway, so I wouldn't have had a chance to ask her.
But I sent her an email asking that, should we get into a conversation like that again, she not order me to do something; she ask. To which she replied, "I hope we never get in a conversation like that again."
Okay, I realize the mundanity of this and that I'm making something of a bigger deal than it really is. But would it have killed her to at least acknowledge that that bothered me? Instead of throwing thinly veiled blame at me again? jesus. I might just become a hermit. Honestly.
