Spike's Bitches 28: For the Safety of Puppies...and Christmas!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I have a friend who needs a tiara ... she'd love it (last year I made her a t-shirt that said "uber bitch" ... complete with umlauted u).

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I think I'm going to buy this fabric and the circle one down and on the right that matches, to make Emeline a comforter set. [link]

All is well that ends in pizza.

Plastic Baby Jesus.

Ah yes, with the "proper" WAS facial structure and coloring, of course.

Sheesh.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Ah yes, with the "proper" WAS facial structure and coloring, of course.

Perhaps they thought an accurate portrayal would have been too alarming: [link]

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

My mother sent me a link to this bead: [link]

One of the friends they were just up visiting made it. I've seen some of his earlier glasswork, but nothing quite as cool as the penguin bead. I hear he was shocked at the price.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

It looks like a nice combo, Aimee.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

price looks right to me... which means it is cheap.

now to pimp my local lampwork bead artist. Wayne Corrie. nothing quite like that - but he has some beads that I really want, but can't buy unless there is a plan

[link]

my favorite series on his page is the tidepool series

[link]

his wife judy puts together the beads.

They are just a great couple - they have been together a long tiem - grandparents now , and they spend most of thier time together.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

beth, those are gorgeous! I like their style. Very wearable art.

Aimee, very pretty fabric. I wish I did more sewing, but I already have so many hobbies with unused stuff just laying around, I don't need to start adding fabric to the pile.

My car...she is still not ready. It's been a month. They are waiting on part that is made in one factory in Japan every other month that contains the letter "O", I think.

Thrive to spite them

My car is making noises again. I haven't even had this a year! I know it's a 98 but still, this is annoying.

Today I noticed that whenever I made a sharp right turn my car makes a horrid grinding noise.

I also noticed that I missed my oil change by 2000 miles and 3 mths. So I went and got that done. Tomorrow I'm going to the mechanics to have them look at the car. I could use some car ~ma right now.

I wish I had the option of giving up my car.
