beth, those are gorgeous! I like their style. Very wearable art.
Aimee, very pretty fabric. I wish I did more sewing, but I already have so many hobbies with unused stuff just laying around, I don't need to start adding fabric to the pile.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

My car...she is still not ready. It's been a month. They are waiting on part that is made in one factory in Japan every other month that contains the letter "O", I think.

Pharaoh! Let my carpool go!
My car is making noises again. I haven't even had this a year! I know it's a 98 but still, this is annoying.
Today I noticed that whenever I made a sharp right turn my car makes a horrid grinding noise.
I also noticed that I missed my oil change by 2000 miles and 3 mths. So I went and got that done. Tomorrow I'm going to the mechanics to have them look at the car. I could use some car ~ma right now.
I wish I had the option of giving up my car.

Maybe we can use the might of the Buffistas to find your part for them... Hee..
ETA: Referent.
Sammi the cat was sitting on my desk kneading my chest. So now I've picked her up and held her on my arm while skritching her neck. Now she's kneading my bicep.
I guess she wants something.
An hour and a half to supper, girl.
SA, come back and tell me how to be one, because I think I've got it down, and then I encounter the humans, and I find I'm right back at square one.
Heh. Well, I don't think I've learned anything, but his syllabus--no shit--was sixteen pages long, with an additional six-page back and front assignment sheet. That is the longest syllabus I have ever been given ever, and he proceeded to read it for an hour and a half. To a class full of seniors.
It is super sassy and flattering.
Thank you!
I did this two years ago! And you look fabulous. Very fetching style for you.
Thanks. :)
SA, you look amazing - your hair frames your face beautifully, and the curls look so lush and springy without all that weight pulling them down.
I know! It's so much lighter and I think it looks so much better.
and SA looks very cute - I sent tthe link to the picture to matt so he can see
thanks! Please pass on my hello to matt. I plan to email him soon.
and thanks all of you for the compliments. They certainly help, especially in light of the fact that I got my second rejection letter in a week, informing me I wasn't selected for the Fulbright.
today is the Niles Art Walk - I will be going downtown somewhere between 430 and 5 to drink wine and Socialize. I will also be stopping at my bead shop
because I have a watch face that I need to make into something that will go with most stuff I own - which means silver and black. but I need to get some more beads ( of course). R - ,the owner of the shop, has a space where people can sit and work on projects . Not sure if I will sit back there tonight, but I might.
P.S. - so sorry SA
Speaking of tiaras, I think I dropped the ball a little bit on the Tiara Exchange. I know I lost the spreadsheet with all the information in one handy place. I should have three copies, but I seem to have no copies. Sooooo, if anyone who participated could drop me a line and say whether they (a) got their tiara and/or (b) sent one, that would really help me out.
I'm totally Skimmpy McSkipperson right now, this job is eating my head starting with my bottom. HUgs, sympathy, congratulations and glitter to any who need it.
Oh, I did catch that Olivia Rose has entered the world. You go girl!

Kristin, I don't want to discourage you, so think of this as managing expectations. When I got into an accident with my Subaru Forester, it took 7 weeks for the repairs because of the send away to Japan for parts issue. I think that's fairly standard for Subarus. Even in an area like mine where there are a LOT of Subarus on the road.
Portland, she is a pretty little city.
