Radical acceptance has helped me be a bit more like Joe. I usually have a little panic, then remember that I can radically accept it and deal with the consequences as they come. It's helped a lot.

'Objects In Space'
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I miss my therapist. I should call her or drop her a line or something.
Hugs to all the early risers. And anyone else who wants 'em.
I got nothing more to say.
Oatmeal.
I just thought of something nifty at work. The new nurse, in spite of looking about 12, is bright enough to get that if a resident's usual, non-sick, under the armpit, temperature is in the neighborhood of 92 degrees F. then when it gets up to 97, in spite of not being in the traditional fever range, there is something wrong. Turns out the poor fellow has pneumonia, but who knows how long it would have been before he went to the doctor if she hadn't been paying attention.

Ain't that the truth.
Wally report! I have indulged myself in a frenzy of new approaches on the various online dating sites. Trying something a little different, just having more fun with it. Hey, I don't get many replies, so at the very least I may as well entertain myself.
Seems to be working pretty well so far. I've had a couple of responses so far (within the day, that is), one person has already sent two emails. The other person thinks I'm pretty funny. Aww.
Depending on how well Wally goes, you might find this to be useful, billytea.
Eat a lot of fruit, vegetables, seafood, and honey to maintain your stamina. Don’t smoke. Smell good. Be diligent in brushing your teeth.
Always good advice even if you don't have 4 wives.

I'm making my lists. My there is a lot to do before I leave town next Monday. Thankfully the pets aren't an issue. Mom will take Brandy (but I need to bathe her first) and Georgia will hang with the neighbors.
I'm taking my dogs to a open space, group play kennel today, as we are leaving for Christmas.
Lucy used to go to one of those in DC, and loved the hell out of it. It was so nice to be able to go away and know that she was having a fine old time, especially when I was going away because of horrible family trauma shit. I was walking her one day and she suddenly started freaking out and jumping up and down and going all nuts, and I couldn't figure out what was up until I realized that the lady from dog school was coming down the street. So funny.
GRONK.
The boy woke up at 5 a.m. for some weird reason. Thank goodness the sitter will be here in an hour. I can take a nap then.
I'll second Cash's GRONK. Couldn't sleep worth a darn, and getting up/dressed/to work was a bitch, yet here I am with clothes on.
K-bug gets her wisdom teeth pulled this afternoon. Even though DH is available to be there for her, she wants MOMMY.
C spent too much of last night text messaging with her drunk father. Yes, he took the news that she didn't want to live with him because he drinks so well, that he decided to prove her point for her. Still does not make it easier.
CJ is bored to tears. I think we will give back a couple of toys, imagination play type stuff, just so we can maintain OUR sanity.
Hey Trudes, that new year you ordered for me must be on slow boat delivery...

Cash, I'm glad you're doing OK!
I should be doing some of that work like stuff right now. Hmmmm. Task no. 1: find motivation.
