Spike's Bitches 28: For the Safety of Puppies...and Christmas!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

sj, my sister started a retail job (Williams Sonoma in her case) around the time you did. She got scheduled for five hours this week as well.

Yup. It sucks. We have a big meeting on Saturday. I smell layoffs.

Coding and Sleeping

Thanks for the well wishes guys. Right now it's nice to hear. I'm trying to distract myself with cleaning the garage right now while I figure out what to do next.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

My marrige seems hopeless and I have no idea what to do about it. I'm currently hating my life and hating myself. Ugh.

I'm sorry, Gud. Don't hate yourself, though. You're a good man and a great father. Marriages don't work for a lot of reasons. I hate to think of you going through a divorce, but I can say that there is life beyond divorce as well.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Gud, what Hec and everyone said. You've worked hard to make this marraige work, and if that's not sucessful, that doesn't speak at all to your worth as a person, or a father. You and your wife made and are raising two AMAZING kids and there's nothing that can take away from that, them being in the world, and your love for them, and their love for you. If the marriage can't work out, it's better to recognize that and move on to the next stage before anger and bitterness begin to creep in... I don't know if this is at all comforting but I am thinking of all 4 of you and hoping that you move to the other side of this anguish in the best way possible.

I am doing a playlist on iTunes called SHOVE IT! filled with angry cathartic songs I can play after a shitty day at work. It's fun! Any suggestions?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

"Youth Against Facism" by Sonic Youth. Although is is more of a political angry cathartic song... and in the same vein, "Mosh" by Eminem.
