That's my girl, large and in-charge. Okay, teensy-weensy and in charge.

Spike's Bitches 28: For the Safety of Puppies...and Christmas!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

"Youth Against Facism" by Sonic Youth. Although is is more of a political angry cathartic song... and in the same vein, "Mosh" by Eminem.

"Song 2" by Blur is always pretty cathartic. And "You're Never Gonna Get Ahead by Giving Head to the Man" is a fun 'I Hate Work' kind of song.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

The Headstones, "Fuck You," is one of my go-tos.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

"Damn It Feels Good To Be a Gangster" - especially good for work b/c of the Office Space connection.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I printed out the return info for the TIVO and DH is boxing it up.

I know, I should be happy for the refund that will be coming considering how painful bill paying was this month, but still. I want to crawl in a hole for the balance of the weekend.

A voice from the past, or "meara hasn't read bitches in days and days":

Hil, DC law *specifically* forbids discrimination in housing (and other things, too, I think, but I've only heard re: housing) based on student status. So although you may not want to have that fight with her, I feel like you should tell her she could get in mega trouble for that shit.

I want a two bedroom 1300 sq foot apartment for $1200. I *might* be able to get one, but it'd be waaaaaaaaaaaay out in the boondocks. I'm going to be paying nearly that for my...300? sq ft one bedroom.

Maidengurl, I think you should take the offers from another department, cause you're getting screwed by your current one! But yay for hubby's job giving him a van, even if a beat-up one?

Sean made a roux?? Is that something you can MAKE in the microwave from frozen things?!?!? :)

Speaking of body types and fashion, how would you dress this woman?

I might have to tell her to avoid clothing altogether. I'm sure she's super hot in the nude.

I do, however, agree with the others that a bra would be a good start. So many women would look so much better with a well-fitted bra.

an article I just found about the hiring process at Google's cafeteria

I want google's cafeteria. How come I have no useful skills needed by Google? Sigh.

Oh, Maidengurl! I am so sorry, returning the TiVO?!?! That's sad and desperate measures. You poor thing. (Edit: it occurs to me this could be read as sarcastic, and also that the fact that it ISN"T might be saying pathetic things about my life and what's important, but...TiVO!)

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I am doing a playlist on iTunes called SHOVE IT! filled with angry cathartic songs I can play after a shitty day at work. It's fun! Any suggestions?

I think Daisy's suggestion of "Shit List" by L7 is tops. Seems like you need some PJ Harvey on there.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

No worries Meara - I'm finally decided that it wasn't a battle I was willing to wage. He is packing the holy heck out of the box. It seems to be giving him joy...so what-ever.

I'll just go in my bedroom and hug MY TIVO and pause, rewind, and record to my own heart's delight.

I have $110 in credit for a local spa. I'm looking through the various treatments and such and can't decide on what I want....

meara - Jan 14, 2006 9:36:04 am PST #4503 of 10001

Oh! You have your own TiVO. Well, that's good at least. Whew. I was all worried about you. :)
