Spike's Bitches 28: For the Safety of Puppies...and Christmas!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Sending "hope it's just a minor flukey pregnancy thing" vibes towards Cash.

Dear Baby Girl,

Go back to sleep and stay safely where you are until February. If you come out now, you'll be shorted on birthday presents your whole life.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

I just went to Starbucks for a nice morning treat and ended up giving a little quilting lesson to the girl behind the counter. It was much fun, and a nice way to start the day.

This almost makes me wish for a Starbucks here. And enough motivation to leave the house.

I have almost all my Christmas shopping done, with only a couple of little, not critical things to purchase...I think. But lest you get congratulatory or jealous, I have not yet:

  • written a list of the people I'm giving to and what they're getting, so I could be missing major bits
  • wrapped, packed or mailed anything, and most things really should have been mailed at least several days ago, as mail to and from Juneau tends to be craptastically slow.
  • cleaned or decorated the place at all; currently my floors and futon are covered with an interesting but gross combination of yarn and paper bits and copious cat hair. blech.

I have promised myself to get the critical presents finished, wrapped, packed and mailed today. One won't make it, because I know I won't have time to do any of the others if I take the time to finish making it (knitting the top of the stocking is going slower than expected - worry not Trudy, this is not yours), and even if I do focus on this one, I still may not finish. I spy a lunch errand on Monday or Tuesday in my future.

I suppose this all means I should get off of b.org and start working, huh.

Always Anti-fascist!

Good thoughts for Cashmere. My conversation with my brother? I might as well be talking to myself. I don't think I'll ever try again. Just like grunt at him in the pause between monologues.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Question for my Bitches:

Do I wear the dress I have and am uncomfortable in to my holiday party tonight or go buy a new dress that will not get worn that often and feel slightly more comfortable?

Our wings are not tired.

How about you buy a new dress that is comfy and can be worn often. Maybe something that works for work and with a little fuss can be made party worthy?
