Now we hath harvested a few measly ears of corn, and they want to throw a grand entertainment. I intend to invite the savages, because they can at least hunt. I fail to see any reason to celebrate, since all we have to drink is water.

At my old salary, I'd literally be working to pay the sitter--and I didn't make bad money for an admin assistant in the midwest.
Yeah. This is strike 1, 2, and 3 against additional kids for us. I mean, of course, it can be successfully argued that from a purely financial standpoint, the years of paying all your money to pay for daycare pay for themselves long-term (in your increased earnings potential, social security, blah blah blah blah blah), but in the short run, it both sucks and blows.
