Even Alton Brown has days when something he cooks makes him think, "What WAS I thinking?"
In fact, the more I think about it, the more likely I think it that he went in search of information about the hows and whys of what works in the kitchen, thus bringing us his lovely show, because of one or more huge goofs.
Grrr, argh. A co-worker was doing a powerpoint presentation (!) to introduce herself to her and my new team. She asked me if I wanted a slide, and I said no, I'm not really a PowerPoint person, I prefer to talk face-to-face.
End result? She made a six-page PP presentation, including one page of her suggested documentation improvements, which left me precisely one minute to give my talk.
That's what you get for not adhering to her API, Betsy.

I work for a software company. I would expect to lose considerable face if I presented myself via PowerPoint.

Twenty brackets for bad soup?
::checks the Bracket Inflation Index (BII)::
I was being sarcastic, BHP. Of course PowerPoint is Satan's tool.
There's an index now? Well, considering my inability to follow the CPI in economics, it's a good thing I just mock people gently, huh?
I knew you were mocking, Spidra. I was just being bitter at the situation.
Now a Harvard Graphics presentation would be impressive.
There's an index now?
