Spike's Bitches 28: For the Safety of Puppies...and Christmas!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Always Anti-fascist!

Sorry, babe. I would say it's the price of a free society. If we had one.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I think that with our tax returns, we should be able to check off tickyboxes as to where we want our taxes to go - and actually have the $$ go there. It might make people feel a leetle bit better about the tax-jack we get.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Thanks, y'all.

Yay for bonus, Aimee!

Hec, sorry you got screwed on the tax. I think OT and bonuses should come seperately, so that one does not get so screwed.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I've been saying this for YEARS. I think if people were allowed to do that, it would send a clear message to the government about what the peoples' actual values are.

What is even happening?

Hec, you'll get most of it back at tax time, right?
He should. That's what happens with dh's bonus check. It's issued separately from his monthly wages, so there's no pre-tax deductions taken out of it (e.g. health insurance, retirement). I think they withhold close to 40% of it. I may not be mathy, but I know we're not in that tax bracket.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I don't actually trust the people's values enough for that.

But, then, I'm living in a state that's been occasionally gutted by the initiative process, and am wary with cause.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I'm too afraid of the people whose values are "I shouldn't have to pay property taxes because my kids don't go to the public schools".

(edit: plei and I are as one in our x-posty mistrust)
