Spike's Bitches 28: For the Safety of Puppies...and Christmas!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I must be PMS'ing cause I've been on the verge of tears all day. I hate this.

What is even happening?

No. I'll get none of it back at tax time. The feds are already taking money out of my paycheck for college loans, and they've been huffing up my tax returns for a long time now.
Oh. Sorry for the long delayed xpost up there. I started the post, hung a pair of curtains, then submitted the post.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Hec, this may sound goofy, but is there any way you can learn where that bracket border is and work OT only up to that point and no further?

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I'm too afraid of the people whose values are "I shouldn't have to pay property taxes because my kids don't go to the public schools".

To which I say, "Fine. Then every person you come in contact with that provides some sort of service had best have gone to a public school. Eff you."

In AimeeLand, that person's head would explode. Cause I would shoot them.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

But, then, I'm living in a state that's been occasionally gutted by the initiative process, and am wary with cause.

Sigh, and nod. When they finally give up and pull the plug on this poor state, the verdict will surely be that Prop 13 done it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

it would send a clear message to the government about what the peoples' actual values are.

It might also reveal why democracy isn't that great an idea.

MG, it's been a stressful while for you. I'm sorry you're on the verge of tears, but it seems definitely provoked by life.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'm too afraid of the people whose values are "I shouldn't have to pay property taxes because my kids don't go to the public schools".

In my perfect world, the consequences of these people's idiotic actions would be immediate enough for them to change their stoopid ways.

But yes, there are obvious downsides.

I'm getting the pig!

I must be PMS'ing cause I've been on the verge of tears all day. I hate this.

You've been under tons of stress, woman. Can you take a walk or go sit in your car for a scream session? Anything I can do to help? I could prank call your boss with the Rejection Hotline message...

So many {{{{Juliana}}}}. I hope the ick is over quick for you.

Hoping Tep's day got better and she didn't have to bitch slap anyone. Seriously. I bet it'd hurt a lot.

I'm on the verge of a four day weekend and I want it NOW!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

What's interesting is that when you poll people and ask them what % of their tax $ they think goes to the military, what $ goes to social programs like Welfare, etc, people consistantly think that a lot more of their $ are going to social programs that what really is, and that a lot less of their money is going to the military than really is.

Librarian Warlord

Of course, if we got to select where our tax money went, it would only be people who paid taxes who would get to "vote", and the opinion of people paying higher taxes would weigh more heavily.
