Gunn: The final score can't be rigged. I don't care how many players you grease, that last shot always comes up a question mark. But here's the thing. You never know when you're taking it. It could be when you're duking it out with the Legion of Doom, or just crossing the street deciding where to have brunch. So you just treat it like it was up to you—the world in balance—'cause you never know when it is.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

DH found out yesterday that he passed his actuarial exam. He's a full fledged fellow in the CAS now.

YAY! That'll mean a raise and easier new car, right? Woohoo!

And Yay VW for having the exam done done done!

I punked out on going to work this morning (my flight is this afternoon), and am now wasting some time before packing up things (need to UNpack my suitcase before I can REpack it, though)...

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

MG is way cooler than Uma.

Awwwwwww. I'd still kill to look like her. And have her bank account.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Does anyone know if stores still sell that Fudge In A Box stuff? Or does anyone have a super simple fudge recipe? I promised to make it this year for Christmas day.

Nicole, you have a microwave, right?

My cousin's ex-wife used to teach piano lessons to Uma Thurman's daughter.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Nicole, I'd highly recommend Marshall's Fudge, if you have the time for ordering. People have driven for 100 miles to get their hands on this stuff. And by "people" I mean every member of my family.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I'm getting the pig!

Nicole, you have a microwave, right?

Yep.

Calli, that fudge looks tasty but overnight shipping will run me about $50. Shoot. I should've started thinking about this about a week earlier.

Oh, congrats to Cashmere's DH!!!

Yep

I have a great recipe for Microwave fudge. Seriously. I will hunt down the recipe and email it to you from work. All it takes is stirring and pouring.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Nicole, you need a bag of semi-sweet choc. chips, a can of sweetened condensed milk, a teaspoon of vanilla, and a microwave for this one.

Place the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Pour the sweetened condensed milk over it, and give it a stir. Minute and a half on high, stir again to blend the melty choc. into the milk. Another minute and a half on high (time depends on microwave). Add the vanilla and stir unti smooth. You can also add peanut butter, nuts, coconut, or any thing else you like at this time, for an individual touch. Pour mixture into greased dish, and place in refrigerator to cool.

No one who has not made fudge in the microwave will believe you did not slave over the stove for ages.

ETA: Yes, I did type that from memory. Why do you ask?
