I don't know about you guys, but I've had it with super-strong little women who aren't me.

Goodbye and Good Riddance 2005: the Year of the Penguin

Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Christmukkah, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. Oh, and 2005? Don't think we've forgotten about you.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

How frustrating!

I should be able to dispatch my Secret Santa package today, Monday at latest, depending on what cool stuff I can find in Davis Square.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Oh dear, askye! did they have any info on how it was misdirected?

I just checked the website and it says it has been corrected.

And, yes, I just outed myself as your seekret santa!

Our wings are not tired.

And the drama unfolds.

The nice man at the post office assured me that the priority box should arrive at the destination Monday or Tuesday. Whee!

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

My person should get his/her gift any time now, or so I hope, since packages I sent out at the same time have started reaching their destinations.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

Oh, I'm so relieved that I'm not the only one who is still mailing packages. Mine should absolutely be in the mail by Monday, but if Snooty Post Office Lady is right, it may not make it in time. (Although last year, mine made it very far away in less time than I thought it would take.)

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

the 21st is still good for priority mail.

Whew. I wonder if that counts for Alaska.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I'm counting on the goodwill of the post orifice in being timely since I have yet to even shop for my giftee. I think I will have to do that tomorrow. Along with wrapping other gifts, finishing up two blankets, finishing my dad's scrapbook, and picking up two last minute Christmas presents. Ugh.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

did much bakeing today - that feels like christmas.

finished wrapping my folks presents - and happily, they fit in a box that mom sent.

I just have to finish gathering my S.S. present. Which feels less like an obligation, because I chose it and if I don't want to do it again I don't have to it. Somehow it feels like more fun.
