Wesley: Feng Shui. Gunn: Right. What's that mean again? Wesley: That people will believe anything. Actually, in this place, Feng Shui will probably have enormous significance. I'll align my furniture the wrong way and suddenly catch fire or turn into a pudding.

Goodbye and Good Riddance 2005: the Year of the Penguin

Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Christmukkah, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. Oh, and 2005? Don't think we've forgotten about you.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Yikes - I am behind. I checked my stash of stuff and I feel like I'm missing a key something, but that something is being DARNED elusive.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

My package was sent out on Tuesday, I think.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Er, my package is in no way getting out for delivery by Christmas. It will be a lovely New Year's surprise.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I'm waiting on part of my secret santa gift to get to *me* before I can send it off to the intended recipient. I should have the goodies by Monday, at which point I can turn around and mail it that day, since I have all the other stuff. But it may not get to my secret santee by Xmas.

Because books.

I've always thought that extending the joy is a good thing. When every present is open by noon on Christmas Day, the rest of the holiday seems is a little anticlimactic.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I mailed my gift yesterday. Just in time, it seems. this is my first Buffista seekret santa exchange. I do hope my giftee enjoys their loot!

this has been a frustrating year. I've gotten deeper in debt and put on weight, despite working to not do either.

I, too am working on a book. It is a field guide to art deco buildings in Kansas City. I haven't made a lot of headway on it this year, but I haven't given up entirely either.

Shortly, before this month ends I'll turn 50. This is not a happy thing, as I still don't have my shit together and am still kinda waiting for my life to begin. You know, the one where I have a career, a home, and a spouse. It is probubly time for me to finally admit that none of those things are going to happen.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

The very snooty lady at the post office was oh so kind to point out to me that they *prefer* holiday packages to be mailed by the 14th.

You should've told her you were working off the Buffista calendar. This (and a much shorter line) is why I use the self-serve machine.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Thank you, Seekrit Santa. The amber earrings are beautiful. I wore them last night and got compliments on them.

I have sent off my gift. I hope it gets there. The person at the UPS store said the computer didn't recognize the name of the town.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

It is a field guide to art deco buildings in Kansas City.

Cool, quester. Do you know about this? [link]
