Goodbye and Good Riddance 2005: the Year of the Penguin

Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Christmukkah, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. Oh, and 2005? Don't think we've forgotten about you.

I'm going to assume that my Seekrit Santa present (which I sent on Dec. 19) was lost in the mail, which means I will repurchase, and resend it this afternoon.

Tom - have you checked with Dani so she could check with the recipient for you?

I'm a Slacker™, actually. Coordinating with Nilly this time of the week is problematic.

Ahhhh, gotcha. But still....might be worth checking, or having someone else check for you before repurchasing.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

(well, unless you're not here here)

I'm at my parents' just outside of Schenectady. So when I say New York...

The year in review around here can be summed up as "a little blah." On the good side, nothing bad happened, and Casper got bigger and (is it possible?) even cuter and more fun. On the bad side, mr. flea didn't finish his PhD yet, I am now 3+ years into boring and not very lucrative under-employment, and basically we are not going anywhere or doing anything interesting.

For 2006, I would like some forward motion. And a house. And an armadillo.

Oh I so want some of that too, flea.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

I've had a big ant problem so I'm craving an armadillo too.

Armadillos carry leprosy. Maybe you'd better go for an anteater.

Wow. That's a fact I was unaware of.
