Goodbye and Good Riddance 2005: the Year of the Penguin
Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Christmukkah, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. Oh, and 2005? Don't think we've forgotten about you.
Oh argh, juliana. I am so sorry. But as everyone else said, whatever you need, just let us know.
And it IS NOT an omen. Not, not, not.
Dammit, juliana, the universe needs to let up already!
He's currently sitting somewhere around the Colorado/Utah border
That would probably be I-70. The roads are clear through the mountains and into the West Desert. I don't know how things stand in Nevada, but the leg through Utah should be easy once your stuff's on the road again.
I meant to come here sooner to squee, but the gods were against me but THANK YOU brenda m, oh bestest Secret Santa! I got a very adorable santa sock monkey (monkey!), nummy chocolate, and the best picture holder for my desk EVAH. (Seriously. Most of those cute ones with the wires that hold up your pictures fall right over for me or drop their pictures but this one holds tons and is sassy AND had a puppet Angel and a smooshed face lion picture pre-inserted. It is all manner of fabulous.) Thank you thank you thank you!
Man, juliana, all I have to say on your behalf is !!!!!!!
anything you find you need when you get out there, you just holler. Boxes will come your way. I promise.
Also, what msbelle said.
In better news, I arrived to find a notice for a package. (We'll ignore pondering why the Postal People left another package in my porch and made me go pick up the other one.) Anyway it was homemade preserves: Tangerine-Vanilla Marmalade, Mango and Red Pepper Chutney, and Carmelized Red Onion Relish from a mystery secret santa in Brooklyn, so I knew it had to be Jessica. I want to just open them up and devour them now. Thanks Jess!
I got my package from Kate P. today! There's a mix CD that I'm dying to listen to, an adorable magnifying glass/letter opener set, and a gorgeous mancala set to add to my game collection.
Thank you so much!
Anne, you are such a generous Seekrit Santa! Thank you so much for the chocolates (mine, mine, mine! not sharing!), the bears (gone already!) and the yummy smelling rose bath items (made my hubby smile!).
Apologies for not getting here a few days ago. For Christmas, Santa gave me a snot monster with fever on the side.
You're welcome, Sue!
the bears (gone already!)
Were they edible, or did they escape?
As long as it wasn't a polar bear, we should all be safe.
Helena, I'm glad you liked your gifties! I didn't realize until after I packed it all up I'd neglected to put my name anywhere. I was worried with sending it to Canada that the box wouldn't show up until March.
