Goodbye and Good Riddance 2005: the Year of the Penguin

Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Christmukkah, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. Oh, and 2005? Don't think we've forgotten about you.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Good thing, because I haven't sent my gift yet either.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

HA! I was just coming to post that for you. It's like you are on a mission. Everyone should host 12th night parties in honor of Jesse. She is a one woman crusade!

Our wings are not tired.

The last thing I would want is for my Santa to feel stressed. Anything before my birthday works for me. (late February) I'm all about the procrastination.

eta: Hee, the poster is adorable.

I'm getting the pig!

I'm not your Secret Santa though, Suz, so you still have other stuff coming from someone else. I just think you deserve as many pick-me-ups as you can get.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Heh. Perkins is going to have Holly Jolly Hiccoughing Giggling Burping Weave Around the Room and Staggering Christmas, is what.

It's been a long time since I bought tequila, like, thirty-plus years. So it was eye-opening to look at what was out there. All I remember from the old days were the then common-or-garden (Jose Cuervo) and the then high-end (Comemorative Gold).

There are eighteen zillion varieties of tequila available in the 21st century. I was very surprised. Hoping the one I got (Tres Generaciones, I think it is) is nummy.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Hoping the one I got (Tres Generaciones, I think it is) is nummy.

I was hoping someone would say that....

Want to hear Mlle. Perkins' opinion of the Patron tequila coffee liqueur. I don't drink anything except dry bubbly, but it sounds good, somehow. Coffee tequila: gets you snockered and sobers you up at the same time?

One very cool thing was, I didn't have to mail it. I got to hand it over the dinner table last night. Saves a lot of work, having the local giftee.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Whee, my gift arrived today! Thank you, Nicole! I now have three tantalizing varieties of rooibos tea, plus a jar of equally tantalizing body butter, and an awesome magnet that says "Well-Behaved Women Rarely Make History". It's perfect! Thank you so much.

Happy solstice, everyone!
