Angel: I appreciate you guys looking out for Connor all summer. It's just—he's confused. He needs time. That's all. Fred: Right. Time, and some corporal punishment with a large heavy mallet. Not that I'm bitter.

Goodbye and Good Riddance 2005: the Year of the Penguin

Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Christmukkah, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. Oh, and 2005? Don't think we've forgotten about you.

Librarian Warlord

I fear my giftee may suffer in comparison

I can testify that there is absolutely no suffering involved when being your giftee.

Signed,

Libkitty's 2004 Giftee

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

You are too kind, but I hope that this year's giftee agrees with you instead of with me.

hip deep in pie

If my S. Santa hasn't mailed my present, I am out of town for a week, so don't sweat it too much.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

So, um, giftee, when you open the box, you're opening the present. Just a heads-up if you happen to be a Wait Until X-Mas person.

Uh, yeah. I did that, too. So whomever gets a package with a return address of "Slacker Secret Santa Steph [lastname]," nothing inside is wrapped. Boxing it all up was festive enough, in my book.

Thrive to spite them

Quester I got the package! And the timing was perfect, I haven't had such a great day. I loved opening the box and finding all the purple packages!

So many new dragonflies and I love the address book, I needed a new one! And the pandas! The magnets are all up on my fridge and the panda's hanging out on my monitor. The cookbook looks really cool and the bath bomb smells wonderful!

Thank you so much!!!

Quester I got the package!

I'm so glad you got it! I got a message from the post office that it had been delivered.

And the timing was perfect, I haven't had such a great day. I loved opening the box and finding all the purple packages!

Best reaction I could hope for. I had fun putting it together, I hope the stuff gives you many smiles to come.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I just got my secret santa present, from Deb, who is an amazing and generous Secret Santa. I got a bottle of very nice tequila, a bottle of Patron's Coffee Liqueur (with TEQUILA!), a bottle of limoncello cream liqueur, some really pretty coasters, and about 5 different kinds of dark chocolate.

Thank you, SO MUCH.

Our wings are not tired.

Yum! That should help with the New Year's resolution of swearing off sobriety.

I love reading the giftee posts. All the people with Santa anxiety (btdt) should understand that the best part of the gifts is knowing that they came bundled with Buffista care. I look at little things around the house all the time and smile with the memory that it was a Buffista gift. Warms the heart it does.
