If I only had a brain...

The pink and red ROOMBAS are the same, but the sage ROOMBA has one -- count them, one -- extra feature. Dummies.

Confusing product lines reduce customers' willingness to buy. Seriously. If you put out jam for tasting, people will buy a lot more jam when choosing between three samples than when choosing between ten. They taste all ten, then give up and go away.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

What's your take on Skynet, Gud?

Personally (and no offence) I think our current best chances for a rogue AI will either come out of google projects mating in the dark, or all the Linux distros banding together.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Judging from the number of dots on the product comparison page, the Scheduler looks like the best one.

I keep wanting to add an m to the Scooba. Scoomba. Roomba Scoomba.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I could even use the Scooba on the strip of living room not covered by the carpet, thanks to the fake wall thingy-do. That's hot.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

There are SIX Roombas?? My god, how are you supposed to choose?

By colour, obviously. Pink. Or possibly red.

JERUSALEM, Jan. 4-- Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon was rushed to Hadassah University Hospital due to cardiac condition late Wednesday, his office and Channel 10 TV said.

Okay, it's really bad to whoop at the thought of another person maybe dying. Sorry. And I suppose it's conceivable that they might find someone even more evil to replace him with. The Emperor, or Voldemort, or Sauron, or somebody.

Didn't he have a mini-stroke last week?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I don't remember where I read less than great things about the Scheduler, but I think I have.

Of course, sometimes I make things up too.

Not according to the product comparison page. The red charges 7 hours (all the rest charge 3, including the pink), and the red doesn't have a Max cleaning mode. The Sage is Pink + wall mount unit.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

But is it more different than just having the scheduling capability? Cause i"m not sure I'd want to pay a bunch extra for that. OTOH, if they increased the sucking power or capacity or whatever, then I'll probably just suck it up.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I have a Discovery (reconditioned, yay!). My understanding is that the first generation didn't work as well, but the current crop are all the same under the hood -- just with wildly varying accessories to make up the price difference.

I haven't yet found myself wanting the scheduling feature (to which I could upgrade if I really felt crazy), but the thing where it goes back to its wee home base when the battery runs low is the coolest thing evar.
