Illyria: We cling to what is gone. Is there anything in this life but grief? Wesley: There's love. There's hope...for some. There's hope that you'll find something worthy...that your life will lead you to some joy...that after everything...you can still be surprised. Illyria: Is that enough? Is that enough to live on?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Yay. My call was dropped with the very annoying Asurion insurance twit and when I called back, actual useful person answered. New phone will be here tomorrow.

Also my drippy faucet was fixed and the fix-it guy knows about the haunted closet light.

I might need to moment to lie down after actually accomplishing many somethings.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I missed this earlier.

I got nothing. Sorry.

I'm being too impatient for you, aren't I? It's just...Kitties!

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

OMG, this is the funniest thread title since, well, the last one. Stompies are on a roll.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I'm being too impatient for you, aren't I?

I am wondering if I should make a phone call, but I'm trying to be patient.

Allyson, you could probably give the publisher links to the interviews/reviews/articles you've done elsewhere (PopGurls?) and suggest that those links might be more useful than LJ.

I don't want a refurbished

I'd trust a refurbished one more than something from e-bay. I haven't had any trouble at all with my refurbished one.

Kat, did you want a coupon for $20 off any April Cornell regularly priced purchase of $40 or more?

I was so planning on staying here and grading the last of my portfolios only the student turned in a paper that didn't print out properly and consequently I can't read it. Oh well. Guess that means I get to go home, right?

Right there with you.

Sonofabitch. Just realized that my new insurance replacement phone will be here sometime tomorrow and will need to be signed for. Which doesn't so much mesh with my being in Orange County tomorrow.

As much as Verizon's customer service has shockingly improved and made me much less cranky about cell stuff, the insurance company they use sucks stinky feet.

Let this be a lesson, equipment failure is okay but murdering your phone is going to cost you actual money and will take your last bit of patience. So, when in doubt, let the phone die naturally because the evangelicals are just not going to be happy about the mercy kill.
