A year and a half ago, I could have eviscerated him with my thoughts. Now I can barely hurt his feelings. Things used to be so much simpler.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Allyson, you could probably give the publisher links to the interviews/reviews/articles you've done elsewhere (PopGurls?) and suggest that those links might be more useful than LJ.

I don't want a refurbished

I'd trust a refurbished one more than something from e-bay. I haven't had any trouble at all with my refurbished one.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Kat, did you want a coupon for $20 off any April Cornell regularly priced purchase of $40 or more?

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I was so planning on staying here and grading the last of my portfolios only the student turned in a paper that didn't print out properly and consequently I can't read it. Oh well. Guess that means I get to go home, right?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

OMG, this is the funniest thread title since, well, the last one.
Right there with you.

Sonofabitch. Just realized that my new insurance replacement phone will be here sometime tomorrow and will need to be signed for. Which doesn't so much mesh with my being in Orange County tomorrow.

As much as Verizon's customer service has shockingly improved and made me much less cranky about cell stuff, the insurance company they use sucks stinky feet.

Let this be a lesson, equipment failure is okay but murdering your phone is going to cost you actual money and will take your last bit of patience. So, when in doubt, let the phone die naturally because the evangelicals are just not going to be happy about the mercy kill.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Y'all. Seriously, snow. in. Texas.

Poor little Ozymandias (spelling it out so as not to confuse with similarly named buffista pets). His belly is so close to the ground he got a nasty shock when I let him out. Also...Home early!!! Because of SNOW. IN. TEXAS.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Aargh! As if the amount of overtime G's been doing over the last few months isn't bad enough, he's been ordered to work this weekend. We're supposed to go to Philcon this weekend. I can still go, but that means I'd have to drive to Philadelphia and back by myself. Not to mention that I'm unsure if I would enjoy myself much without him. Yes, there will be a bunch of people I know there, but it's not the same.(Not to mention that unless he puts something in his LJ explaining the situation I'm gonna end up having to answer the question "Where's G?" a lot) If I don't go, I'm out the cost of the membership, and G says he'd feel guilty if I didn't go. Aargh, what to do...

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Can you find anybody to rideshare up there? Or go by train or something?

Train's kinda expensive, plus I'll have my guitar with me. Unfortunately, the only folks i know of who I reading up there from the DC-area aren't going directly back.(Visiting relatives)
