At least one guy gave me a humourous "Am not!" when I told him his group were operating outside the authority structure, like cowboys or something. "A cowboy, I mean. These days, with the.." "Brokeback?" "Yeah, Brokeback. You need to call me something else."

I wonder if there are homophobic cowboys enraged that their profession is now gayer than a gay thing with rough mansex? Also, aren't they shepherds?

On-natter: I'm now munching on some stroopwafels. First read about them in The Vermont Country Store catalog last week then noticed that Trader Joe's is carrying them. I am trying the "serving suggestion" of putting the stroopwafel on hot drink so that it'll soften up the caramel. They're novel. And a little addicting in a junk food sort of way. Even though I wasn't wowed by the taste, I ate far too many of them last night.
