There was that episode where they found an old Ford pick up truck floating in space that they beamed into a cargo bay. Tom Paris turned on the ignition, and it started right up. Built Ford tough.
But it was a '30s (IIRC) truck, so it didn't grate as much....
Wait, it was floating in space? I'd tend to think that most or all fluids in the truck would have evaporated in the vacuum of space....

You'd think, wouldn't you. If it hadn't been floating in space, they wouldn't have noticed that something was odd about the planet. Also, they never explained how it got into space. It was my Voyager jumps the shark episode.
I was gonna say, what is the freezing point of gasoline? And if it was a truck from the days before synthetic motor oils, good luck getting that puppy to drive with the elderly sludge in its insides.
Also, what if the cold denatured the leather in the seats??
Oh, and ... I should probably register for Escapade, huh? And get a hotel room? I'm probably driving down with Laura, it looks like.
I should probably pay my registration for Escapade and get a hotel reservation, if I'm going...
You have to go, so I can buy you drinks and "encourage" you to quit your job. If this involves physically removing you from Michigan, well, it'll be a crime committed with your best interests in mind.
Perhaps we'll just arrange to lose your ticket for your flight home.

It's hard to say, because it's a mixture of so much stuff. Isooctane (after which octane ratings are named) freezes at -107°C. It wouldn't hang around though. A lot of it would sublime off into the vacuum every time it got hit with some sunlight, sorta like a comet.
Now, if they'd put a Mercury Comet up there, that would've been cool.
It was my Voyager jumps the shark episode.
So it was episode 3 or 4 of Season one, then?
Oh, right, hotel. Registration and stuff.
Remind me that this year, I'm not volunteering to moderate anything. And I'm drinking more.
Laura's announced she's only going to the vid show; the rest of the time she's in the bar. I may do the same, except there's also a beach nearby, and I like beaches...
So it was episode 3 or 4 of Season one, then?
Almost, I think it was the S2 premiere.
