Fascinating. I love languages.

I love languages.
Me, too (even though I only managed to learn just the one).
It's a lovely word, too. It celebrates the newness of the new thing, the joy at having that thing you haven't had before and now you do and that fact, even regardless of the quality of the object itself, is happy-making. Also, I love using it in unexpected places, too (like, to relatives of a bride, because, hey, they just got themselves a new relative, you know?).
Nilly, I impressed my students on Friday by saying please and thank you in Hebrew. They actually applauded. Feh on the computer issues, but also feh on the not-having a nice guy to share the wonderfulness that is you. I can't imagine how lucky a man would be to marry you.
Kat, I'll be watching Everwood soon--is there another new one this week?
ita, gods, I'm so sorry about all the crap you are having to cope with. Hang in there. Do you at least have a little time off this month? And how are you feeling physically?
Perkins, how long are you in Tucson? I'm going to be there from the 21-26 for Christmas with my mom, aunt&uncle, cousin, and grandmother. Will you still be around?
Um. Brokeback Mountain - is it open in wide release yet? I thought it was supposed to be this weekend, and yet, I'm not seeing it in any of the theaters near me. I find that odd. Unless it's not in wide release yet.

Jen, it's not in Cincinnati, either (though that doesn't surprise me, because I think the city's motto is "Teh GAyZ R Teh EEvIL!") -- I looked on the movie's website, and it says that it's open in "limited release." I'm hoping it'll make it to more screens soon.
I think I may go see a matinee of Harry Potter (on IMAX!) instead, since I still haven't seen it yet.
I'm on the same cranky "I wanna see the gay cowboys" train -- is this seat taken? Looks like it's limited release this weekend and "select markets" next.

I am only here for the weekend, but I am coming back on Saturday the 24th and then leaving again on Monday.
Brokeback only opened in LA, NY and SF. And in LA, I only know of one theater where it is showing. That's pretty damned limited if you ask me.

Ah, thanks Steph (and Kat, and, yeah, there's always room for one more on the cranky train, amych.)
Well, damn. I hope Philly and surrounding area is one of the select markets. Grr. Just release the flippin' movie.
Guess I'll go see the Lion, Witch, etc. Not what I was planning for today, but it was on the agenda for the week.
I think today is getting colder as the day progresses. It certainly feels colder now than when I left at 10:30.
My house is messy and parts of it dirty. I need to remedy that and then decorate for Christmas.
