Harrow: You didn't have to wound that man. Mal: Yeah, I know, it was just funny.

What is even happening?

Lame for Locke to be dumb. I liked Locke smart. Not a bad episode all told.

I was really frustrated with that while I was watching, but when it ended, I decided it wasn't actually out of character. He anthropomorphizes the island, believes it healed him, and when he gets captivated by an idea, he does throw caution and reason to the wind. Look at his complicity in Boone's death, and his obsession with getting into the hatch. And the thing is, just enough happens to feed his island-related beliefs, that you can see why he keeps acting like he does. After all, it was only by following his hunch about the verse on Mr. Eko's stick that they found this new station. It is also not OOC for him to not share information with his fellow castaways.

That said...

I watched. I hate it when people know important stuff, ya know, like that the house is wired to explode or that the computer is more than it seems, and then don't bother to tell anyone. It never ends well.

Yes! A thousand times, yes. I'm having a really hard time understanding Sayid and Kate not sharing the information with Locke, like immediately (!!!) after they found the wiring. Craxy.

I thought this was a good episode -- much better than most of what we've been fed this season. I was as pleased as punch that Sayid figured out Patches was lying to him, and that Kate had some skillz, again. I liked the Sayid flashbacks. I also enjoyed the Sawyer B plot.

I was frustrated that Sun wasn't showing yet, until I remembered that the show doesn't operate in anything close to real time.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

So I guess nobody wants to LEAVE the island anymore, huh? Because my first thought upon walking into a house filled with satellite communications equipment (working or not) would not be "ooh, tea!" Morons.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Also, they FINALLY explained that bizarre cable into the ocean from season one! Look at that.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I didn't feel awake enough to try watching last night, but I'm still following the show. Sounds like I'll actually have something to look forward to....

I think their first thought was, "Ack! Bullet in Sayid."

I know!

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I think their first thought was, "Ack! Bullet in Sayid."

Actually, John's first thought seemed to be, "Chessmaster 2000! Cool!"

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, while Kate was wandering around looking in the freezer and Locke was all, hey, *I* play chess, the SO was all, Sayid still shot! Get the freaking medical kit.

But anyway, that's not what I came to post. I came to post: That's what this show's been needing all this time--more cowbell!

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

The station blowing up was kind of obvious - Kate and Sayid see the C4, Locke's on the computer and it tells him to put in "77" if Hostiles have overrun the station. Obviously, something's going to happen.

Although I was expecting the codes he entered to be THE numbers.
