Perhaps if Sayid and Kate had mentioned to John that the place was wired with C-4, he might not have been so eager to press the buttons.
Are we 3 the only ones watching this anymore? Or just in Central time?

Yeah, the communication breakdown is not just about the satellite and the sonar.
I guess we are. (In Central and Eastern time -- Laura is in Florida.)
The whole 10pm EST is killing me. I am going to have to go to tape delay. I'm more grumpy when it is past my bedtime. Critical review needs to wait until I'm not comatose.
The episode did give a more rounded view of the island residents, and not a waste of time.
I watched. I hate it when people know important stuff, ya know, like that the house is wired to explode or that the computer is more than it seems, and then don't bother to tell anyone. It never ends well.
OT: sumi, I put the tapes in the mail yesterday! Let me know if you don't see them in a week.
I will!
I need to get you more episodes. We seem to be in thaw now - - so perhaps a walk to the post office will be more possible.
And I totally agree that there were major communication gaps in that group.
I do like that we are back to alternating between a group exploring the island and the folks back on the beach.
Pretty good episode, reminiscent of season one.
Locke really does like playing with computers, doesn't he. But, dude, did he and Kate just calmly walk out? They should have been running. Was there a countdown? Or did the computer just say, "This place will explode in the near future. Get out while you can!"
I don't think Locke expected the place to blow up at all. I think he thought that all the computer would do was send some sort of back up emergency signal to the Initiative. He was as surprised as Sayid and Kate when the place exploded, just for a different reason.
Locke didn't know the place was loaded with C4. It's funny because Locke saw one hatch blow up, so I'm not quite sure why he didn't think another might blow up as well.
