Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

You are right, Nilly, and it is lovely. We're on Catalina Island for a few days.

It seems that one person per shared room is a morning person, so we're exiled to the half darkness of the dining room. Sun's rising, though.

Question is, can I take a shower in the other bathroom without messing with Kat's water supply? I probably shouldn't test that.

and it is lovely

Wonderful.

Now, of course, I'm jealous. It reminds me of the Saturday afternoon we spent at Allyson's place when I was her guest, and I liked it so very much, I want a second round. I'll even promise not to fall asleep while people are still laughing and talking, right in front of theit faces. [Edit: no, wait, that was Friday evening. No promises, then, just jealousy, for me.]

Is it OK to ask who else is there?

I probably shouldn't test that.

That's the wise and considerate choice.

I always wake up early on holiday, I don't know why.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

T-Day is already looking up, I've connected with some good folks who can fit me in around their big table. Plus, there may be Scrabble!!1!

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

This just in: I suck at icing cakes.

Yay! Glad you found a place to go, Theo.

Yay, Theo! (Also, their gain, at least as much as yours).

I suck at icing cakes.

My mom always used to say that "in the stomach you can't feel that it doesn't look so pretty". I'm sure it's yummy.

What Nilly's mom says.

Good news Theo.

"in the stomach you can't feel that it doesn't look so pretty"

Which is a very good point. However, having someone say "That looks good! All your stuff tastes good, but this time it looks good too!" kinda stung. Kept feeding him, though.

The folks here are (in order of awakening): Kristen, me, Kat, lori, Polgara, Allyson and sarameg.

Now, if only someone could tell me how to use the coffee machine. These things stump me.

I'm okay with the cake looking a little fugly. In a way, it's kind of cute.
