pretty.

I'm giving serious thought to buying it. The cherry dress is really at the end of its useful lifecycle (though I may try to repurpose it into something else -- maybe have my tailor remove the bodice and make a skirt), and I need a new fun retro dress.

I bought one because I'm polka dotted. It might need to be tailored a bit to fit, but I'll see when it arrives.

My nose is cold.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Another story says the "FBI says you've visited illegal websites" e-mail is a cover for a virus called "SoberX."

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Steph, that dress did make me think of you.

This is my second go-round at the morning. It's somewhat depressing to know that I can make the airport-dropoff round trip in less than an hour, but that it has to be so early that I get home before my normal work wakeup time.

Anyway, father is safely dropped off for his flight to Jamaica, which is more than happened with his flight to Beijing. Suffice it to say that there's a young lady who stopped, lent him her phone, and then drove him to a good place to get a cab.

I'm really happy that he managed to make it to the airport in time to make the flight across the world, but a not-quiet part of me is screaming at the woman who did all that. It was just Saturday when I saw a "wanted, beware" poster of a guy who's running a "I need help to get to LAX to get home" scam that ends up in grand larceny.

IN HER CAR. Offered my father a ride--of course, he took it, so I wonder about the sense of everyone involved.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

So what's next in the world of fake-emails-carrying-viruses?

True 'nuff. But I'm supposed to be crazy and lack a sense of self-preservation. I'd never do all that. It's textbook get yourself robbed/assaulted setup.

Does it prove the existance of god if you click the link and your computer is saved? Or show that there's not so much intelligence as might be needed in the design?

It is! And it isn't. I think most people tend to be good and a "crime epidemic" of people who are carjacking nice airport-driving people is less an epidemic and the epidemic of fear caused by those stories.
