Question: Will hiding in a cavern with stockpiled chocolate goods be any part of this plan?

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Dishes are done. Must get laundry out of dryer. I am so very tired.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I totally didn't get the Peanut Butter Jelly Time.

You know he was actually on, that day he couldn't get to NYC from DC -- he just appeared via sattelite or whatever. I'm pretty sure this week is all reruns.

Crap. I had heard about the satellite deal but assumed this was a complete reschedule. OK--I had HOPED this was a complete reschedule.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Is it too late to order a prefab dinner from anywhere else? It's sad to be deprived of leftovers, but I kind of like itty-bitty holidays. Of course, I come from a family of introverts.

I think the backup plan is dinner at the Holiday Inn, which puts out a Thanksgiving spread. But I wish I'd acted on the turkey thing in time, I love eating the leftovers ten meals in a row. And the one time I tried cooking from scratch was an unmitigated disaster, even when starting with a decent turkey rather than the sad castoffs now available.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Thanks, Frank. I've just started the hunt for the righ bp meds, and I'm not looking forward to it. (My dad told me yesterday that it took him two years to find anything that worked. Joy.)

Just to balance out your skewed data pool, it took me about 3 months. (And actually, the first 2 BP drugs I tried *did* bring my BP down; they just also had intolerable adverse effects, like passing out and extreme exhaustion.)

I should add that my problems with getting the mix right have been with any one thing lasting. The one I started on worked well for a while, but then it wasn't working so well. At that point I was supposed to go to twice a day on it, but for some reason I have a much harder time remembering to take a second dose in the evening than I do with taking an additional pill with the other one in the morning. Eventually we went to a mix which worked, again only for a while, upped the dosage on that, and eventually added a third pill to help the second work more efficiently. Basically, I'm going to have to keep getting checked semi-annually and see how the current mix is holding up. I was a little high on my bp the last time, but I was also having an accelrated pulse at the time so it skews the reading.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

You know, I've never heard the PBJ song. And I'm going to keep it that way if I can.

In early at work because we have a presentation at 9. Ugh.

On the bright side, when that's finished, the worst part of the day is over.

Perkins, the dress was cute.

Not cute though is being up at 5:45. Though it might mean getting a paper done this AM.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Um, the dog just started chewing on the wall.

I lived with a dog who did that, briefly. My roommate yelled at her (not something that happened often, as she was a good dog and positive reinforcement generally got it done) and she stopped. No plaster supplements were required. I think she maybe got another chew toy or something.
