scary burning.

I don't like Arrested Development AT ALL. But I think that's a me issue.

Also, I never liked Scrubs.

Yeah, that's my take as well. Fire and microwaves kinda overrides my make-do attitude. So new micro when I get back. And dude, they are SO MUCH CHEAPER than they were 11 years ago....

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think AD is fairly clever. I just don't find it funny. I can't even work out which bits are the funny bits that I'm missing.

Scrubs I like -- I can't believe how little I like sitcoms these days. I used to be a 22 minute fiend.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Nutty, I saw it too. Oh my goodness that was weepy-making.

While I'm distracting myself from pre-travel craze.... my parents went and saw a one man Einstein show up in ABQ. It was a thing on account of it being the 100th anniversary of the Miracle Year. It sounded awesome. So if there is ever a one man show on Einstein from a guy from ABQ, go see. They also went to several awards things for teachers and a lecture from a science historian that sounded awesome. My parents are really enjoying the whole empty nest thing. Makes me happy.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I dunno. The obviousness of some of the jokes, the proselytizing of all the fans, and the superfluity of the narrator on AD really annoyed me, and then one day-- the whole thing clicked. Some eps really don't make me laugh, but the actors are satisfying on their own. And the continuity puts VM to shame-- I didn't get most of the jokes until I'd seen all the previous episodes.

My reaction to the news was "So why doesn't bon move out here then?" but there's a chance that's not the point the instructor was making.

The market is saturated! But really everyone knows that NY is where the real law gets practiced. t /mostly kidding

I'm trying to jump firms by the end of the year. And one of my criteria is that the firm have a reputation in Cali in case Bob and I have to move. So maybe one day, I can become a completely superfluous bottom-feeder on the west coast!

That would be fun! Bon, when does Bob finish?

He would finish in August, and then be on the market for a year-- so if we moved it'd be in summer 2007. The whole job-getting process is a crapshoot, but if I move anywhere it'd be cali.

Do they do postdocs in his field, or is it straight to position? (just overly curious about other fields.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The actors are very good on AD, but they're very good at being annoying characters. I don't care for any of them (even though I have a newfound Bateman crush, I think his character should have done the AZ thing).

if I move anywhere it'd be cali

Excellent. I mean, if you're going to be a bottom feeder, superflous is kindest on the conscience, right?

Trying Sherlock Holmes and the Silk Stockings instead.
