Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I was turning the lamp on with the wall switch when there was a flash and no more light. Of course, I've turned it on and off so many times, who knows if it's off or on? That's another part of the differential diagnosis I'm not looking forward to -- moving the lamp to another outlet.

I may just read by flashlight.

Bag the crypto. Say what is on your mind.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

I was turning the lamp on with the wall switch when there was a flash and no more light.

This is a classic sign of "I, your valiant lightbulb, desperately clung to life during the lamp's long dormancy, but as illumination came once more, nay, it was too much, and I expired."

It's a lot less irritating when table-lamps pull that melodramatic crap than when it's the overheads.

It is now quite dark outside. There comes a point in autumn when you have to trick yourself into uncoupling the equation of dark with night, or else you never, ever get your errands done. That said, I did my errands in daylight, and it's cold out, and I have hot chocolate and a lazy cat and an armful of library books.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Happy Birthday Jessica!

It's a fairly pretty day out, so I know I should be doing something active and productive this afternoon. Instead, it's cheetos and SGA reruns!

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Oh, that sounds great.

... and library! Huh. I could go to the library.

But I think I'll walk the dog and do beta and then go see Pride & Prejudice (with added ampersand!) later.

Whee! I found even more bulbs. Sad that when the first bulb went out it took its friend with it. But there were hardy survivors, and my living room is lit once more.

Went to the acupuncturist, who adjusted my neck with a hammer. Which is odd. He had me in that face-forward chair, looked at my upper spine and said "Whoa. This is way messed up." and I replied "Weird, I was at the chiro just last week." He adjusted it, had me sit up, checked it again, and found I'd managed to throw my neck out with just that one moment.

He also asked if I'd realised my neck was in spasm. Sure! The neuro had told me on Thursday. I really can't feel these things anymore. Apparently I currently have the upper back of someone who's been beaten about the head and neck, with the misalignments and the spasmy spasms.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

On a Friday, all bets are off. Let the kid stay up late, and you may be able to sleep late.

You know, I had never thought of that. I will try to be less judgemental of the parents out with their little kids at all hours. But only on the weekend.

Hmmmm.

Crap! I was going to go see Good Night and Good Luck at 5. But I got distracted.

Hmmmm.

As opposed to someone who fainted and hit her head, he meant.
