it's full of nice straight lines, and really, what more could I ask for?
Polka dots and curvy lines in different directions! At least, that's what I put in a graph for a friend last week. She needed histograms in black-and-white, and no matter how I played with the colors, they still looked too similar. So she ended up with some very cheerful graphs. Which even met her needs, so, hey, why not.
That's funny Perkins, my cats love
spiders.
I think they try to play with them, but always end up killing them. Then, they eat them.
I think if Tennessee ends up voting for a defense of marriage type amendment, I'm going to take it as license to begin embroiling the sons of state legislators in sex scandals, guilt-free.
Who needs license? I say do it for the fun!
This weekend's best Leif moment happend while I was at the grocery store. My wife discovered my daughter pouring chocolate chips into a half-cup measure from a bag sneaked from an upper cabinet. She asked by daughter why this was happening, and my daughter explained that Leif told her he would give her twenty bucks for a half-cup of chocolate chips.

I read that too quickly and for a second thought they were doing this IN the grocery store.
And I love how its a half-cup that he wants.
Heh. Have you considered that Leif is a mischievous alien, sent to observe us?
Also, anyone here say "snuck" instead of "sneaked"? I do.
So you're saying that Leif doesn't fall far from the tree.
I'm think Leif might grow up to be a lobbyist.
Scientists think they are about to be able to detect gravity waves: [link]
No one has been able to observe and record a wave because of the fractional changes involved. Even the violent disruption of a super-dense astronomical bodies, such as a black hole, is thought to produce ripples that are equivalent to the distance between the Earth and the Moon changing by one 100 billionth of the width of the thickest human hair.
OTOH, dogs can sense gravity waves.
(In case no one's noticed, I occasionally feel the need to make up scientific "facts.")
