Gunn: The final score can't be rigged. I don't care how many players you grease, that last shot always comes up a question mark. But here's the thing. You never know when you're taking it. It could be when you're duking it out with the Legion of Doom, or just crossing the street deciding where to have brunch. So you just treat it like it was up to you—the world in balance—'cause you never know when it is.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

If he got his act together and stopped being such a pushover, then sure. Which guy's not better for being fixed?

I'm not a fan of hidden depths of spine. It's one step up from a fixer upper, but still -- why can't you be apparently spineful? Instead of surprisingly so?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I can't think of one.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Beth, I'm glad the house concert was a success. I... sorta forgot about it, and ended up going shopping with my sister in the city. Which exhausted me, and I spent the remainder of the evening crashed on my couch, watching vids and chatting.

Okay, Spike. I thought of one. Other than that, though...it's truismlike.

Two big guys, one of whom had a stick followed me in the parking lot at krav. Luckily the guy I was with defended me. Close one, though.

Basically, two of the black belts were pissed I hadn't introduced my father to them. He stepped forward, and it all ended without contusion. I don't know how long it will be until the sight of them looming there won't make me laugh anymore.

In less funny news, ginger ale tastes bad again. I don't know if it's the increased Topamax or the concussion, but it's very sadmaking.

ita, I have a question for you. When you've "fainted," was there anything leading up to it? Like a change in vision or feelings of nausea? Or did you just drop?

I ask because it seems I had a 'sode last night.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Okay, so this is freaking me out a little bit. There's a really strong burny smell in my bedroom. I haven't been smoking in there, so not that, thank god. And there's nothing up against the radiator. So - what then? I did put some new lightbulbs in the ceiling fan earlier - any way that could be related? I want to go put some laundry in but I don't want to go away until the smell does.

Damn, Kristen -- shall we start a group home for the intermittently able? You feeling okay now?

To answer your question, this time I got a really quick darkening of the fringes of my vision, and next thing I knew I was wondering why I'd decided to go to sleep on the floor. The time before, I actually felt the falling.

Brenda, are the lights on?

Yup. Maybe I should try turning them off, hey?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I ask because it seems I had a 'sode last night.

STOP THAT!

Damn, Kristen -- shall we start a group home for the intermittently able? You feeling okay now?

BOTH OF YOU!
