Brenda, have you brought any new plants into your place recently? (I know that sounds crazy but the question comes from experience.)

shall we start a group home for the intermittently able?

We might need to. Or, at least, send Allyson for stress management since I think we're seriously freaking her out.

And I think I'm okay now. I'm mostly concerned about why it happened, irritated with my body for betraying me and pissed that it happened in the middle of my FREE Aerosmith concert.

I'm hoping it was just a bad s'more and it never happens again.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Kristen, is it possible you hyperventilated? I am convinced the reason I can almost never make it through a fireworks display upright is a combination of hyperventilating and locking my knees to look up. Yes, I am a grown woman who still gets really really excited at fireworks.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Nope, just some cut flowers from a wedding last weekend. But they're in the other room.

The smell seems to be fading, so I'll keep a close eye for a little while and let it go. But it was really strong for a while there. Scary.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I am a grown woman

Really? How do you feel about George?

Kristen, this happened at a concert? Did you hit the ground? Were you with people who noticed?

Kristen - Nov 06, 2005 12:55:40 pm PST #1663 of 10006

Kristen, is it possible you hyperventilated?

Nope. That's what's so weird. We were standing there watching the show and I saw this woman being carried off to the side by her husband. She hit the deck. (This is where the spiked 'smore theory comes from.) Then I looked back at the stage, everything got blurry and I started to feel sick. I turned to Allyson and said, "I don't feel well." I started to move to the wall and then I hit the deck.

Allyson said that was when my eyes rolled back in my head, I collapsed and started to shake. I don't remember that part. The next thing I remember was sitting on the floor, sweating, as Allyson and the Fire Marshall were looming over me asking if I was okay.

ETA: Brenda, maybe there was some funky coating on the light bulbs? Was it a different brand than you usually buy?

Eek, that is scary, Kristen. Maybe there was something in the air.

Really? How do you feel about George?

I believe he will be better at 35, which is when what's her name says he'll be a catch. And she made him up, so she should know.

That used to happen to me all the time when I was a kid! It was a combination of low blood pressure and anaemia, apparently. People used to think I was epileptic or something, and I'd just be all, no, really, just a weirdo.

Kristen - Nov 06, 2005 12:59:50 pm PST #1666 of 10006

The woman who was in first aid with me said that some people were smoking something funky. So maybe that was it.

It felt pretty much the way I always imagined a bad drug trip would be.

ETA:

Okay, this is interesting to me. My mom has suffered from anemia. And, not to go all TMI here, but I am one with the female bleeding at the moment. Though they checked my blood pressure and didn't say anything about it being low.

I'd definitely get your iron checked, just to make sure. Did your vision go blurry or like tv static? Mine used to do the static thing right before I'd go thunk.

But she doesn't say that's when women will appreciate him. That's in the present tense.

Kristen, your 'sode wasn't like mine. Mine had no sweating. You feel okay now, right? How's Allyson doing?

I'm watching an adaptation of Kidnapped. Man, I remember nothing of it.
