Whatever happened to the still beating heart of a virgin? No one has any standards anymore.

Spike's Bitches 27: I'm Embarrassed for Our Kind.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Librarian Warlord

One of my housemates from college wouldn't have a female OB/GYN because she was more uncomfortable with the idea that the woman might be a lesbian than a male doctor might be a pervert. She got over it after she'd gotten over dancing as the Devil's playground and other ideas from her fundie upbringing.

Meanwhile, today was supposed to be an easy day -- a couple hours of work, a luncheon, and then holiday shopping -- but I've spent most of the morning on hold with the customer service people at West while they work out how incompetent they'd like to be today.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I can honestly say that I've never noticed hand size before at my appointments.

Huh.

Now tagless for your comfort.

He's built like a football player. I asked him if he played middle linebacker in college and he said, "center". He wears size 11 ring. I asked. I only really noticed during Owen's delivery.

brillig

I'm trying to remember how old I was when I had my first pelvic. Is there any residual societal oddness about giving pelvics to girls young enough to probably be virgins?

Because books.

I had guys with all three pregnancies, and loved all of them. With Sara's pregnancy, I was in a practice, and two of the female doctors were great, too, but I just didn't end up with them. One of the *other* female doctors was this slightly cold older woman who always looked past me, somewhere near my left ear, when she talked to me, and I couldn't even begin to imagine her delivering my baby.

Yob/gyn experienceMV.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I can honestly say that I've never noticed hand size before at my appointments.

Yeah, I pretty much focus on the fact that even big hands are so much less horribly painful than the speculum.

One of my housemates from college wouldn't have a female OB/GYN because she was more uncomfortable with the idea that the woman might be a lesbian than a male doctor might be a pervert.

Still not as creepy as the girls in my high school who insisted that all female OB/GYNs must by definition be lesbians, because it's totally obvious that you only go into the field to look at goolie all day long. Oddly, they had no objection at all to going to men docs who were presumably in it to get their rocks off.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I was 15 when I had mine.

Only one that I didn't feel.

That doctor was about 97.

That tops my stupid things people think list today.

I've been wondering when I need to take my girls in for their first "female visit"...I seem to recall being told to wait until they are sexually active.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Morning, all. Another snow day here, and that is very happy-making.

Also, I have a schmancy 12/30 wedding to go to. What do you all think of this dress? Do you like it better in black or plum?
