[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Well, no, not as such. Because then I'd have to go to the new job. My whole problem is, I'm tired of going to work.

I gave up over 80 hours of paid leave when I left the job in Az, as they don't pay out PTO. The Mn job is also on the PTO system, will not have to buy it out, and in a month or so, I'll have been there long enough to use the small amount that I have accumulated here.

I'm not suicidal, as I don't really want to end it All. But I really, really don't want to go to work, or do anything else for a few days, and I can't think of any other way to get out of it.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Someone please say something that will make me want to get dressed and go to the bank!

They have cake at the bank! And pie! And fudge! But only for people who are dressed....

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

We've got snow here, but they only cancelled classes before 9 AM. Looks like most of the elementary and high schools are closed, though.

I actually don't have anything I need to get done today, but I've got to get to the department because I promised I'd watch a friend's daughter there for a little while, and I figure, if I'm going to be there anyway, I might as well study or something.

Ok, tommyrot, but you better not be fibbing.

This is me, going to get dressed. Really.

I took the subway-to-subway-to-five-dollar-cab route to work and was only six minutes late. Go team public transportation!

Hey. New board.

Of course it snows a lot BEFORE I get to the shoe store and buy boots. Also, I'm supposed to walk 25 blocks tonight, after a party, in the snowed-on ground. Bootless. Thirdly, I lost one of my gloves last night.

Maybe I should find time to go shopping today.

I. Will. Kill. My. Gyno.

And his worthless secretary.

The correct answer to a patient who is furious because her prescription refills have not been called in for OVER A WEEK SINCE SHE PLACED THE ORDER is not "Oh, that's because he doesn't usually do the pharmacy calls."

GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!! I've made another appointment with a new doctor, but it's not until February.

Eeek. Smite-worthy.

Weird. I just noticed that I've got a bunch of bruises around my knee that weren't there last night. No clue what happened. The knee feels a little stiff, but not really painful at all, but these are a whole lot of bruises.

Gris reminded me that I also need to buy boots. Sneakers will work for today, but I've gone two DC winters without boots, and both of them involved at least a few times that I needed to thaw out my feet when I got home.

Thanks, but I really prefer a female gyno.
