I'm sure it was equally tragic for the uncles. So sorry Cass. I can't help but think you are the cutest thing ever in your fairy princess jammies and red nose. Fanning eucalyptus vapors in your direction.
This reminds me of my pediatrician when Brendon was a baby. He was stuffed up and the doc sent me to the park to pick eucalyptus leaves to break up and put in a vaporizor because he thought that was better than the stuff in a bottle.
eta: and you can have a pony if you want one princess.
Poor sick Cassie! I'll not smooch you, but I will snuggle you and ply you with tea and honey.
For no apparent reason, I'm in the sorty of crabby mood that wants to inflict pain on someone. Who's got the list of candidates?

Want I should send it along?

Thank you for reminding me. I have a eucalyptus and spearmint pulse point cream. It has no been applied. The fact that it smells nice leads me to think I might actually be breathing some. Yay. Thanks, Laura.
I am snuggled in my "Do not startle the Buffista" sweatshirt. It's like a b.org hug tonight.
Now I am just waiting for mom to come home with soft tissues, juice, soup and zoo stories. I keep apologizing for being all sick and cranky and she is just nicely and patiently explaining that she is mom so of course she will take care of me while I am sick.
Emmett and I are back from one of the 30 or so contenders in his personal pantheon of Best Day of Ever. He had pumpkin muffins for breakfast. His mom dropped him off at our house and he watched a little Invader Zim. Then we took Muni down to the Metreon and saw Harry Potter again. Afterwards we ate at Mo's where he had a hot dog, fries and a chocolate shake. Played at the playground for a good long stretch. Stopped by Copeland sports and found the One True First Baseman's Mitt we've been looking for over the last three months. Used his Copeland's gift certficate to get it. Clutched his mitt to his chest much like the famous Life magazine picture of the little boy with his pair of shoes. Got off the train and stopped by a cafe where he got a Boylan Black Cherry soda. Met a 12 week old puppy named Rocky right before we got home, and now he's reading a baseball book.
Hec, thanks for the Emmett report; they are always cheering, even when one doesn't really need to be cheered up.
Cass, may the snot-monster cold invader leave you quickly. One's been flirting with me and, even though I keep turning my back on him, he is persistent and keeps poking me in the side like an annoying 5th grader. I've been sucking on vitamin/throat lozenges hoping to scare him off, but like most pests he hasn't taken the hint.
I'm with Emmett. That's a good day.
I read all the colonoscopy advice and got tired, so I went and took a nap. Then we had pizza for dinner because the leftover but not frozen turkey seems to have disappeared. Some of the frozen turkey will become turkey enchiladas tomorrow. Some of it will become turkey pizza later in the week.
I bet she finds it in the bottom of her purse or in a pocket.
That's my guess, too, Connie. She says she didn't hear it fall into the sink.
Ask her if she's buried any bottles, lately.
I have puggle concerns.
Ah, but is it a muggle puggle?
Mmmm turkey enchiladas. That sounds like a good plan for Monday. I am off to Mom's tomorrow morning. I packed up all my leftovers in little boxes today to freeze. We'll enjoy them when we return.
