So there is something I can do, besides scream like a woman?

Spike's Bitches 27: I'm Embarrassed for Our Kind.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Today is stay in pajamas day, while watching the last 6 episodes of Veronica Mars. I may fry up some left over cornbread dressing in butter, later... now we are eating the cheese course leftovers.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Temperature appears to be back to normal today, but the headache is still at full strength and I still feel like ass. I am ready for a nap.

Our wings are not tired.

I have to go do chores because sitting in front of the television and watching rescuers chopping through the icy pond is freaking me out. Every year in my youth a number of people would end up under the ice due to cars crashing over bridges or people walking on thin ice. A few of the kids I went to HS with went into a river and they didn't find them until Spring. Very upsetting.

May the headache run away while you nap.

Someone posted their favorite personals from the London Review of Books. Quite funny:

The status is NOT quo.

Deena—the "before" of the colonscopy isn't fun (and you will not be able to care for kiddos, so backup is a good thing) but the actual 'scopy is no big deal—they put in an IV and then it's over (gotta love good drugs). You'll prbly be very tired and need a nice long nap that afternoon, but you'll be feeling relatively back to normal by the evening.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Yup, it's the before 'scopy laxative that sucks it all out of you, literally. It's quite gag-worthy. If they recommend mixing it with Crystal Light, do it. Also, wear very heavy clothes and have blankets handy. The laxative has to be chilled and drinking a gallon of cold stuff as fast as they want you to really brings the body temperature down fast.

I just realized what I've been missing all day. Coffee! No wonder I've got a headache.

Compassionately intolerant

Maybe you'd end up with a doggie with a split personality, à la Gollum.

This = my concern. I MUST make lots of noise and jump, jump, jump. I may not be a rocket scientist but I can...what? What was that sound??? WhaaaOOOOOOOOO. Beagle + You MUST love only me...me...MEEEE. And, by the way, I am much smarter than you...hand over your steak. Pug = Exhausting love muffin.

Oy. Much sympathy for the 'scopy vets among us. That liquid drano is of the serious brand of suck. I second the heavy clothes and blankets advice. It's a literal, to the bone chill.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Yeah but I got to droved one yesterday and it was fuuuuuuuuuuuuun.

Have cold. Is official. Everyone else is having fun at the zoo. I am seeing how many tissues I can go through and sucking down hot tea. Better sick today than yesterday though.
