Angel: Eve. So, I guess we should, I don't know, talk? Eve: About what? Angel: About what happened back there with us. Eve: Angel, it's not like this is the first time I've had sex under a mystical influence. I went to U.C. Santa Cruz.

Spike's Bitches 27: I'm Embarrassed for Our Kind.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I worked 11.5 hours today. This included a 2.75 hour meeting led by a guy who must have adult ADD.

Came home to a gift bag sitting on my desk. It was from one of my "good" friends. It contained a t-shirt. Now, normally I am not a t-shirt wearer, but this shirt. Well, it says STRESSED OUT under a picture of a vicious cat - just like this one. It made me laugh so hard. THAT shirt is my life this week...

Librarian Warlord

Not bad for only 8 weeks in LA.

Seriously. I hope that while her luck is good she remembers to say, "I wish for a million dollars!" Just in case.

I worked 11.5 hours today.

Still working. ::sigh::

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I had thought that Croce wasn't well known outside the Chicago area when he died.

There used to be (don't know if it's still there) a club in downtown San Diego named "Croce's." Owned by the son, I believe. He's gone, but definitely not forgotten.

Argh. The Good is getting a steak dinner on the company. The bad is the not getting home until 11pm... (left work at 8pm, which wasn't fab either)

Money stuff in a relationship can get so weird, IMO. It's like we're all wired and raised differently and merging the financial lives can be the most stressful aspect of joining in a permanant relationship

My grandmother used to say "Everybody's weird. If you don't think they're weird, you just don't know them well enough". My father added "If you think you know them and they're still not weird, talk to them about money"

The BF and I have done a movie day for the last 12 years, where we schedule 3 or 4 movies and email all the orphans and non-celebrants we know the theaters and times and put a dinner break (at a Deli, which are always open on Christmas) in there

Heh. My sister and I have been doing this for years too, but it's more of a "we do our big Christmas dinner and Mass on Christmas Eve, and by god we're not *hanging out* with the family all day on Christmas Day with nothing to do!! Let's get the hell out of here!"

But mostly, I don't want to have to pretend to love it, or that it's more important than other things in my life.

Heh. I hear you. The amusing thing is, at my current job, my friends and such (who haven't seen me lately!) all think I've drunk the kool-aid, whereas to my coworkers, I'm the bitter cynical sarcastic one...

That is one of the few perks of being a contractor. No one expects me to make the company my life

Heh. We expect just as much of our contractors--after all, they at least get PAID for the overtime!

(EDIT: Apparently what I'm actually guilty of is saying "Heh" too often. Hmmmm....)

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Aimee, did your sister just move to LA or something?

Shit's all sorts of different now.

She did. She moved here over Labor Day weekend. She's living with us. I'll be sad once she starts her new job - no more daytime maid. :(

Hey. New board.

I should either go to bed or get some work done. But I don't wanna.

Hi!

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Empress, can you hop on IM for one sec?

Hey. New board.

Oh dear God. Random websurfing brought me to the "25 points of the National Socialist Movement of America" web page.

I'm now nauseous. And not just because of the red and white background, either. Urgh.
