Jayne: Captain, can you stop her from bein' cheerful, please? Mal: I don't believe there is a power in the 'verse that can stop Kaylee from being cheerful. Sometimes you just wanna duct tape her mouth and dump her in the hold for a month.

Spike's Bitches 27: I'm Embarrassed for Our Kind.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

Wow! Daycare is craxy expensive. I had no idea. I put the boys in at 2 because I was able to have them at work with me before then. It was $75 a week. It was 10 years ago, but still that's a big jump.

DH did the school runs for me this morning so I am wrapped in my blankee in my jammies on the couch. It is reasonably cool this morning so we have the windows open. It woudl feel all comfy and nice if my mind wasn't spinning with the length of my list today.

Ugh. I can relate. I'm making my list right now and trying very hard not to let it send me into a panic.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

My one big issue with the Salvation Army is the whole deal where they got special permission from the government to be able to discriminate in their hiring practices. But that's just me.

That whole thing confused me. Can't churches in general discriminate (religiously anyway) in hiring practices?

I'm evil. I just looked at the dates that Wicked is in town. They're here on my mom's birthday. Last year we took mom to see Phantom. So, I think this year we should take her to see Wicked.

It's my evil little plan to get to see the show while it's here without actually having to pay for it.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

That doesn't sound evil to me -- it sounds brilliant.

Ann, that's a ferret.

The Salvation Army wanted to discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation, not religious belief.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

That whole thing confused me. Can't churches in general discriminate (religiously anyway) in hiring practices?

Not on federally-funded projects. Or if they get federal funding at all. At least, that used to be the case.
