If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

But right now it's a reasonably affordable daycare with immediate openings five minutes from my house whose programs, staff, and facilities I feel good about.

Yeah, at this stage, I thinnk you have to make some compromises, hard as it would be.

I am just agog at the cost. I don't know how single parents do it, I swear. I mean, I make reasonable money, and I couldn't swing that at all. In a two parent/two income situation it would be different, but that's still a serious chunk of money.

Good luck to Will, I hope you and he and band teacher find a way to turn things around.

Betsy, my heart just aches for Will. I hope you guys are able to work something out with the teacher.

Susan, I'm so thrilled for you that everything is falling into place with this job and daycare and everything. It's gonna be tough...especially at the beginning, but you SO can do this.

I am feeling a little better this morning. Hopefully it will last long enough for me to get some things accomplished.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

This will be my life for the forseeable future--working, writing, and trying to be a decent wife and mother.

You know, it sounds like a pretty good life to me. I'm glad everything worked out about the job. Susan.

Yay for solid food for Lily! Nora's eye should instantly get better and vw's asthma should return to the space-time dimension from which it came.

Poor Will. Hell is other children, but a teacher should recognize that.

I'm back in my hobbit hole, and my mother and sister are 250 miles away.

Our wings are not tired.

Wow! Daycare is craxy expensive. I had no idea. I put the boys in at 2 because I was able to have them at work with me before then. It was $75 a week. It was 10 years ago, but still that's a big jump.

DH did the school runs for me this morning so I am wrapped in my blankee in my jammies on the couch. It is reasonably cool this morning so we have the windows open. It woudl feel all comfy and nice if my mind wasn't spinning with the length of my list today.

Ugh. I can relate. I'm making my list right now and trying very hard not to let it send me into a panic.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

My one big issue with the Salvation Army is the whole deal where they got special permission from the government to be able to discriminate in their hiring practices. But that's just me.

That whole thing confused me. Can't churches in general discriminate (religiously anyway) in hiring practices?

I'm evil. I just looked at the dates that Wicked is in town. They're here on my mom's birthday. Last year we took mom to see Phantom. So, I think this year we should take her to see Wicked.

It's my evil little plan to get to see the show while it's here without actually having to pay for it.
