Now, I can hold a note for a long time...actually I can hold a note forever. But eventually that's just noise. It's the change we're listening for. The note coming after, and the one after that. That's what makes it music.

Spike's Bitches 27: I'm Embarrassed for Our Kind.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

People annoy me. I've been lumped with running a seminar for twenty people next week because the other girls in my class are afraid their English isn't good enough. And that is just not a good enough excuse. They knew running seminars was part of the class when they started it. I've already run two. It's their bloody turn, especially when they knew I was visiting home this weekend, and was scrabbling to get all my assignments done before I left. Pants.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

j, how soon are you hoping to take off for SF? Anything we non-fairies can do to help the transition?

{{juliana}} I am so, so sorry.

The wide universe is the ocean I travel, and the earth is my blue boat home

OK. Job is settled. I just talked to New Boss, and I'm tentatively set to start Monday, though that won't be settled for sure until I talk to C--based on her schedule and the fact UW is on a 1st-15th and 16th-30th/31st payroll system, I can see it getting pushed back to Wednesday just for simplicity's sake.

OK. Time to call daycare and figure out when I should drop by to fill out the paperwork. Also time to scramble to put together a minimally suitable work wardrobe, since this is more a khakis and/or skirts job than a jeans one.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

juliana, I'm so so sorry.

You mean Wednesday -- that's what would happen if you were working where I work.

And Congratulations again!

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

j, how soon are you hoping to take off for SF?

Soon. Possibly the next couple of weeks soon. We'll see. I already have a phone interview set up with a group I applied to. Not my most exciting possibility, but a possibility.

Anything we non-fairies can do to help the transition?

Just be here, I guess. This is so fucking scary. He's got his life all mapped out for him and I've got fog. I don't deal well with uncertainty or change.

If anyone can help me with my directing resume and/or letter of introduction, please ping me at eDOTjulianaATwellsfargoDOTcom.

I don't blame you -- it sucks. But for whatever it's worth, I have a feeling this will turn out to be one of the good changes when you're looking back at later.

(Then again, I also have a feeling that a concert grand piano should be dropping on Z's poopy head any minute. My premonitions aren't always so very, how you say, literal.)
