Lorne: Snakes? Uh-huh. And they came out of your what? Okay. Okay, well, did they get up there themselves or is this part of a, you know, a thing? No, I'm not judging...Do we fight snakes? Angel: Only if they're giant. Or demons. Or giant demons. Are they giant demon snakes? Lorne: Well, unless this guy's 30 feet tall, I'm thinking they're of the garden variety.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

AmyLiz, I think it was you that asked.

In my experience, kids start getting ready for school on their own at, umm, 18whenthey'vemovedofftogotocollege.

Your hard-to-wake child may vary, but mother had to pound on my door to get me up until graduation, pretty much.

Raq, rock on with the job getting.

I'm blind from shoe bad.

Betsy, eyema.

Umm. Ma. And stuff. For peeps. Yeah.

Punishingly Intricate

Emily has taken to calling Toto, "Muffin."

aww that was the name of the dog my grandparents had when I was a kid.

My favorite dog nickname is "Phys" (like, "Fizz") which is what my friend calls his dog, Newton, sometimes.

Sometimes I call my dog "Mad Eye Moody" because he has one kinda googly (and blind) eye.

Mostly lurking...

Valerie is my name
Procrastination is my game.

I have a to do list a mile long. I have nowhere to go today, since I'm still on house arrest, so I should be getting lots done. But, am I? Nope.

I finally just opened up the file for a quiz that was due on Wednesday. I was thinking about it as I went to sleep last night and had lots of good ideas. They're gone now. Oh, well.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

I hope the ideas find their way back to you, vw.

I forgot to give Betsy eye~ma. I hope you find a resolution to this soon.

Thrive to spite them

I often call my cat "baby".

I'm not sure why or if it was something to do with moving, but she's turned into a lap cat for the first time in her life.

One of the stronger arguments for sending them off early.

On the other hand, I still don't get up on my own unless there's something really important to do early.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Eyes are scary stuff, this is true.

Maria, did you get my email? YOu know, the one with the numbers? And the thing? If not, I can re-send.

Heart-ma to meara's dad.

And congratulations to Raq--now nanny-ma to follow.

dw, luck on the second interview--was that Susan's? Or your interview?

Insurance adjusters coming and going in my friveway. DH and StY got rear-ended by a lol in an Escort sitting at a stoplight yesterday at sunset. She didn't see them for the sun in her eyes. Both her airbags deployed, smashing her forearm into her chest, and breaking her wrist. Her car's totalled--block cracked, bumper ripped off. Her insurance company and ours are looking at DH's truck. Which he is driving to the beach for a week. On Sunday, because I need the car while he's gone.

Or her insurance company is paying for a rental. First world problems. The news is, she's going to have to have surgery on the wrist. Poor thing.

I think they ought to shut down west-facing roads at sunset--and east-facing ones at sunrise. Be fun enforcing that, wouldn't it?
